Note to mods: I'm posting this a bit early because I won't be able to create this thread until about 7pm and I thought that was too late. Welcome, members of 667 Dark Avenue to the WCTBATH Cover Design Contest. Many people disliked the look and organization of the recently released WCTBATH book cover. Actually, some people tried making a new one or reorganizing the original one. So, as one of 667's tenth birthday celebration's main attractions, we invite you to try to do so yourself. Design a new cover for Who Could That Be at This Hour and post your results here until Friday. On Saturday, we'll have a poll to choose the winning cover and on Sunday the winner will be revealed and win a special prize. Good luck to everyone! Here's the book cover for reference:

Can we enter the ones that we've already posted? (Oh, and do we PM them to you?)

Sure you can. I was thinking of posting them here, for the poll on Saturday, but if you prefer PM'ing it to me, you can. I'll just post it with the poll later.

Tough contestants, to be sure. All three are, to some degree, better than the original.

It would've been nice to see more entrants; I was hoping for a bit more diversity. What I do find interesting is that by and large there's a movement to interact with the existing cover; mine and Terry Craig's entry both seem to be saying that the cover as it stands is more or less okay pictorially, it just needs to be arranged differently. Brunch's entry is more divergent, and I'm glad of that, although I'm not going to say who I actually voted for.

I like Seth's illustrations, just the arrangement on the cover was off. Oh, and Brunch's cover is great. Yours too, Dante, but Brunch's seems to be the most original, so I'm glad to vote for her. (I feel uncomfortable voting for myself).

So... this poll is supposed to be locked, but because I'm stupid, I chose that the poll would be locked when the thread was locked. It doesn't matter. The voting was yesterday and the person with most votes right now will win the contest. And the winner is... ...wait. It's a tie! Between Brunch and Terry Craig! ...wait. I haven't cast my vote yet. I could be the tie breaker here. And my vote goes to...
TERRY CRAIG! Congratulations, very well deserved. I don't have your prize yet, but I will pm it to you soon. Also, I would like to ask people who haven't voted not to vote and for a mod to lock this thread as soon as possible, so it shows I'm not lying.

Congratulations, Terry Craig! The positioning of the ATWQ plate and Snicket's name were well blended into the current color scheme.

Congratulations, Terry Craig; yours is essentially a more professional version of the real thing, and I admire it.

Congratulations Terry Craig! Your cover is a much more organised better laid out version of the original.

I did this for evidence: I don't think there's any need to lock the thread now.
