I love Fiona I agree about the anti-hype for TMM, actually. I didn't hate it as much as I did after I read a few reviews on here. I hated it, yes, when I first read it, but that hatred has surely fed off of others' hatred.

I'm one of those who was initially resistant of giving ASOUE a try - but, once I decided to give the books a try, I found them to be rather interesting.
All I can really say, without giving anything away, is that the ending of the series is not likely to leave you completely distressed. So, if you're worried about that happening, I don't think it's necessarily the case.

I've got to admit that # 10 disappointed me.. and my my favorites were #3 & 4, but I don't think they're decelerating.
