Like I said, really tall. Of course, everybody's measurement of one "really" is different. Mine just happen to be very short.

Like Dante, I find Olaf's house an ideal home. Large, majestic, defensible, imposing...
At the time of the Bad Beginning, it was probably all Olaf owned (plus the car and maybe the octopus submarine.) This makes it of interest-is it inherited or stolen? Do the Counts of Olaf's mysterious line always live in it, or is it ill-gotten?
Is the old Count in "The Three Languages" described as living anywhere in particular? I believe Olaf is his son...

In the U.A.'s version of the story, the setting was scribbled out. However, in the actual tale the location is given as Switzerland.

Right. Then, perhaps, we can rule out the house as the hereditary residence of these Counts, and speculate that Olaf murdered its owners, or something similar.

I wouldn't dig too deep into "The Three Languages." I don't think it means anything significant.

Check in the very front of the book when you manage to procure a copy. Or the middle picture with Sunny dangling from the tower.

Wow. I'd like a tower myself, but not as dirty.

It WOULD be cool to have a tower bedroom..... just not one so dirty and eye covered.

Keep on-topic, please - it says "Olaf's Tower" in the subject header, and that is what the subject shall stay, not the relative scariness of other 667ers.
