Darn. I tried to post this info last night, but was shooed off to bed by my mother.
Anyway, for convenience, because pdf files take forever to load (on my computer at any rate):
This correspondence between Lemony Snicket and Beatrice may be the final key to truth in The End!
Collected by Mr. Snicket himself and delivered to Harper Collins under cover of night, this collection of intriguing correspondence sheds light on many of the mysteries surrounding Lemony Snicket and A Series of Unfortunate Events.
It includes: - Unsettling photographs of suspicious objects - A double-sided poster featuring confounding clues - Punch-out letters that serve a mysterious purpose
(from The Thirteen Shocking Secrets of Lemony Snicket).
I'm inclined to think this a money-raising gimmick, but of course I shall buy it anyway.

That'd be cool, to have letters inside. Well, for a second. I presume it's going to be long, so it'd get annoying. But wow. I love that advertising. And thanks for putting up the date. *makes countdown* Yeah, I probably am more excited for this than Book 13.
The only bad thing is, if this comes out in Sept. '06, then we can pretty much forget about Book 13 coming out in Oct. '06. Or was it just me who thought that?
Scratch that. Wow, Danny Boy's busy. Excerpt from "13 Shocking Secrets about Lemony Snicket."

I think that The cover of TBL seems very simple to me. I mean, just ribbons, and a title to hog the whole cover!? There's gotta be a border or something like the not-glossy spine in the series!
Anyway, I'm still dying to get it! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!
How much can it be? (Sorry if I've not been ready the posts carefully because I'm too breathless.)

Barnes and Noble lists the price as $19.99, but it selling it at a discount. I think this expense is probably due to its weird format; the apparent presence of a poster you can fold out, and punch-out letters(spelling out the alleged hidden message, probably). Possibly even envelopes with letters you can take out.

Has anyone ever pondered, however unlikely or irony this may be, that TBL is B13? It basiclly explains the childhood, what happens with Lemony/Beatrice/Baudilaire's Parents/Olaf., and what happenes in B13. It may be such a stupid though, so stupid that, after a minute to think, it may be possible. It might fit, right? Might be, might be....probably not, but maybe...

Except they're listed as separate books by everyone, have been announced as separate books, and it wouldn't actually make sense; as the end of the Baudelaires' story, it would be completely incongruous in style to the rest of the series. And it'd cause needless confusion.

That would suck if it was but that is highly, highly unlikely. As for the cover's simplicity, it's no less simpler than TUA. Besides like TUA, it could be a dustcover and contain another picture, possibly a photograph, beneath it.

That'd be great, unless the British release has, like the U.A., a different cover which is bother lousy and non-reversible. Hm. There's a point... It's struck me now that I'd been assuming - as far as I can recall - that the British release wouldn't mess with the cover, but now that I think about it, since it's being published by a different publisher (Egmont rather than HC), then they might. And if experience is likely to go by, it'll probably be poor. But, I suppose I must wait and see; Egmont still remains as silent as the grave on TBL, aside from the brief e-mail I received giving a projected release here of September 6th.

Oh, no! They can't change the cover for the UK edition. That would be awful. I wondered the same about TPP but Egmont kept that one the same. I guess that could have been because of the number of complaints they would have received from people trying to uncover the wrong book cover for weeks, though.

Oh, a reversable dust cover would be AWESOME! Maybe it's a hardback spinoff thing.

If there's a reversable dust jacket, it could be a sequel to The Pony Party from the UA reversable cover.
And I'm guessing that since they released the cover so early, it may well be the same the world over. Though that's just a guess, really.

I wonder if TBL is as big as the books in the series.
I WILL buy TBL no matter how much it can be.
A sequel to the Pony Party? I really need to get TBL for that. I never got TUA hardcover, and I'll never do.
I demand a page count for the publishers to provide. lol.

It's good, although fan-art should be posted in the Aggravating Art section.

It's good, although fan-art should be posted in the Aggravating Art section. Oh, thanks. I wasn't sure, because I was wondering if the picture might be a part of this discussion... Thanks, again. That would suck if it was but that is highly, highly unlikely. As for the cover's simplicity, it's no less simpler than TUA. Besides like TUA, it could be a dustcover and contain another picture, possibly a photograph, beneath it. That sounds very interesting... Maybe under the dustcover, a photograph of Beatrice's profile, but her features revealed? Or another Brett drawing/painting of her without the shadow?
