Didn't expect Billy Gates to recommend a big tome on blood. That's cool... I guess

Just started reading the Timmy Failure series. Needed something light to read for summer, and it is pretty funny. But I cannot determine whether the polar bear is real or just Timmy's imagination.

I’m reading Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I’m just bursting to do some illustrations for it.

Oh, that's a very charming book - and so is the second one, Wundersmith. Hollowpox is set to come out early next year. A marvellous series!
I am reading The Extraordinary Education of Nicholas Benedict, and am very excited for the new Mysterious Benedict Society book to come out in September.

I think I read or started reading the first book in the Mysterious Benedict Society a number of years ago. I am trying something new and reading children's fiction this summer, so I may have to look into that series again!
I just finished the third Timmy Failure; it was awesome! But I am starting to really think Total is in his imagination, which makes me sad.

It's an amazing series with the best representation of intelligence and giftedness in children I have ever read of.

I’m about to start Wundersmith! I’m very excited to read it. The bookshop I spend Fridays drawing in is going to do a big event for Hollowpox’s release, which will be so much fun.
Also I’m told that hopefully there will be nine books in the series as a whole, which makes me exceedingly happy.

Same here! Originally, it was said to be only a trilogy, but it seems to be going on for quite a while.

I'm just about to start the newest Gary Chapman book, The DIY Guide to Building a Family that Lasts. I have loved everything I read by him, he offers such great advice.

I am currently re-reading The Last Battle, for the Narnia read-along that I am participating in and that's been over for more than a month (I had to take a short break from it). Also, the Thoroughbred book called Wonder's Victory, in an attempt to read and re-read the entire series in proper order, which is 72 books plus a spin-off and super editions, so I don't really know where that will be going. And I am looking to participate in the Who Could That Be At This Hour? re-read. I've been re-reading a lot lately, come to think of it. It's a good way for me to get out of a reading slump, and I enjoy re-visiting old favourites, and to get a new perspective.
Also, I am excitedly awaiting my copy of Bandersnatch by Diana Glyer, which I just ordered. I actually meant to do that quite a while ago, but always sort of lost track of myself doing so. Huh. Well, also, it's rather expensive and now I've gotten a good deal.

So to speak - the title is in reference to a quote, which is in reference to a quote from it. It's about the Inklings, and their influence on each other.

I am about to start the final Timmy Failure book. The cover is gold! I am sad because I think it is going to get revealed that the polar bear is just his imagination.

I just got done with two really good books, How the States Got Their Shapes and How to Break Up with Your Phone. The former was extremely interesting, and the latter was highly informative. I've been wanting to go back to a basic phone for years. Just waiting for my smartphone to kick the bucket, I don't want to buy a new one until I absolutely have to.
The one I am going to start soon is called 12 Rules for Life by Jordan B. Peterson. Don't really know much about it, hoping it's going to be good.
