Or someone plans to kill you, and everyone on that list. But it would hardly be a good story if everyone died.

Reunion
Chapter One In which several people are called by a mysterious individual.
The phone rung. A tired looking man in his mid-twenties slowly made his way towards it. His hair was red, and fell to his shoulders. Picking up the phone, this man asked, in a tired, bored, and distinctly British voice: “Hello?” He could hear someone breathing over the phone line. “Hello. Is this Mr. Rubens?” The voice had a strange accent, but Mr. Rubens couldn’t quite place it. “Yes.” He answered. There was a pause on the line. “Hello, Dante.” The voice finally said, and the line went dead. Mr. Rubens, whose first name was not Dante, slowly lowered the phone. His first name started with a D, certainly, but it was not Dante. But, as I do not know the first name of this individual (blast!), I shall call him Dante. Dante hadn’t been called by his pseudonym in a long, long time. A shiver ran down his spine. Memories flooded his brain and he realized what the accent was. It was Australian. “PJ.” He whispered.
As Dante recalled his time on the internet forum known as “667 Dark Avenue” he remembered how it had ended. The thirteenth book had come out, and the second movie had been a disaster. There would never be another sequel. A few months after The Fiery Finale had come out, people started coming on 667 less and less, and no more new members joined. Burdensome Books, the category for discussing the series was all but dead. Tragedy, the admin, had abandoned the forum, and everything was slowly decaying. Then, disaster struck. Dante, who was very illness-prone, fell ill. Many years ago he had had an organ transplant, and this very same organ was now failing. After three months of being confined to a hospital room, he finally was allowed out, and he immediately logged onto his beloved forum. He found it almost deserted. His friends, girlfriend, all had disappeared in his absence. He was deeply hurt, and disappointed. He even contemplated suicide. Now he would have absolutely nothing to do in the afternoons. And so 667 had faded away from his life, but for the next ten years he thought of it often, even considering contacting some of his friends, as they had always suggested they do, long ago. But no, he figured they had moved on. They wouldn’t recognize him anymore. So he stayed with his daydreams. And now he had been contacted. By PJ, it seemed. He debated over what to do. PJ had gotten hold of his telephone number, perhaps even his address. The though chilled Dante. Who know what PJ had become since Dante had last heard from him? Dante closed the curtains to the single window in his apartment and sat on the couch, resting and thinking.
For the first time in many, many years, Antenora (her name has proven elusive, so Antenora it will stay) logged onto 667 Dark Avenue. She too had received a mysterious call from an Australian who had merely asked if it was her, and then said: “Hello, Antenora.” before hanging up. She had been surprised too see the forum was still there, but the last post had been ages ago. She brought up PJ’s profile page, and scanned it. His last log in date was years ago. Antenora cast her mind back, and remembered how PJ had suddenly disappeared, roughly the same time Dante had. She wondered why he was calling her now. Then her heart leapt. Someone else was online! He was called “Ennui the Confused.” She immediately PMed him. “Hello, Ennui. It’s me, Antenora. Remember me? Anyways, I got this strange call from someone with an Australian accent. I think it’s PJ. Why are you online?” She waited tensely for a reply, but was rather disappointed when it came. “See my newly made thread. And it is good to see you again, Antenora.” He replied, and she saw that he had just created some sort of thread, titled “Anonymous Phone Call” in Menacing Miscellaneous. She clicked the link and started to read.
Coming soon: Chapter Two In which the called unite, and the first clue is given.

“Hello. Is this Mr. Rubens?” The voice had a strange accent, but Mr. ------- couldn’t quite place it. “I wish.” He answered. Going for realism as opposed to metaphor, eh, eh? It works well so far. I loved Dante's suicidal train of thought ending "now he would have nothing to do in the afternoons." I fear your prophecy of 667's end is certainly possible; probable, even...

I fear the same about the falling-apart of 667, although I think I'd keep checking back occasionally, as I do in the story.
I'm also terrified by the prospect of Dante becoming severely ill. Don't let him die.
Good story, anyhow. I see that 667-doomsday/reunion fics are popular.

It's actually very accurate, although my last name isn't Rubens either.
