How come nobody ever likes Frodo?? I find it so sad, because if it weren't for him everyone else would have died, for all their bravery.

I did like Frodo once. But now I hate him for reasons unknown. At least for most people they'll be unknown.

Indeed. Could anyone else truly stop Saruman and make sure he couldn't gain power again? No.

*josephine* You should've said 'all of them are the heroes' And that kinda ruins the point of the thread.

Obviously Aragorn!! Not just becasue he's my favourite character, but becasue he mainly creates the diversion at the Black gate so Frodo can destroy the ring. Also Sam is a hero, and I suppose Frodo is as well!!

Creating a diversion makes him more important then the people who actually carried out the mission? He is definitely a hero but not just cause he made a diversion.

Gandalf. He was the first to know the evil power of the ring and knew immediately how to destroy it. He was the constant force of goodness and like Petra said, they couldn't have done much without him... although I'm certain he could have done more.

YAY! *agrees* Of course he could've done more, he could've marched into Mordor and blasted Sauron out of there but it was a fight for the people of middle earth, to unite them and permanently foster peace and that wouldn't be achieved by having an angle type divine being stroll in and destroy the bad guy.

Let's think about that for a second. Because not in Lord of the Rings is Ronald Weasley? A good reason that seems, yes indeed...
