“You know that I love you,” whispered one bird to another. “That will always be true.” “It means the world to hear you say that,” tweeted the other to the first. “But I don’t know how much longer we can go on like this. I know there’ll always be a more important woman in your life.” The first bird blushed, ashamed that this subject was being brought up yet again. “I know that I mention her in almost every other sentence but I love you,” the bird insisted with a peck on the cheek. “It’s like an obsession,” the other replied, pulling away. “I’m not the only one who’s noticed.” “I can change. I promise.” “I’m sorry,” the other said, “but I don’t believe you. Go back to her. Go back to your mother.” With that she flew away crying, oblivious to everything around her.
Strangely, Songbird and Freebird were having the exact same conversation below albeit with one vital difference.
“I’m sorry,” Freebird said, “but I don’t believe you. Go back to her. Go back to Pandora.” With that he drove away crying, oblivious to all traffic around him and crashed his car. His mom was going to kill him.

Way to subvert everyone's expectations!
Also, did you come up with this before or after you read mine?
