Okay, this is probably the worst thing you have ever read and you ever will read, but it's something.
Charlie was excited. He knew he was married to Bee, and they were very happy, but he couldn't stop thinking about that other girl. She was beautiful, intelligent, nice, funny and just generally perfect. It was not Valentine's day yet, but Bee was gone to see a movie with Sophie, Anka and Kensicle, so it was the perfect day for him to do what he had planned ever since he had seen her for the first time.
He went to the florist and bought the biggest bouquet of flowers they had. He also bought a postcard, which looked a little, but not too romantic, and also a little mysterious. “Dear most beautiful girl in the world,” he wrote, “I think you're pretty awesome and stuff, IDK, and I'm in love with you. If you want to meet me, come to the library at 5 o'clock. From a secret admirer”.
He placed the bouquet and the card in front of her apartment, where she would find it as soon as she opened the door. He knew that she always left her apartment at half past 2 on Mondays, the doorman had given him this information for a bar of chocolate. Then he went back home to put on clothes which were more appropriate for the meeting with his secret love than his Monday clothes. At half past 4 he left the house and headed for the library.
Pen was excited. He knew he was married to Terry Craig, and they were very happy, but he couldn't stop thinking about that girl. She was beautiful, intelligent, nice, funny and just generally perfect. It was not Valentine's day yet, but Terry Craig had to work, so it was the perfect day for him to do what he had planned ever since he had seen her for the first time.
He went to the florist and bought the biggest bouquet of flowers they had. He also bought a postcard, which looked unique and a little romantic, but as uncreepy as possible. “Dear beautiful girl” he wrote, “I don't want to sound creepy, but I think I like you. If you're not afraid of meeting strangers in libraries, you can meet me in the library at 5 o'clock. From a secret adnirer.”
He placed the bouquet and the card in front of her apartment, where she would find it as soon as she opened the door. He knew that she always left her apartment at half past 2 on Mondays, the doorman had given him this information for a tip about what music he should listen to. Then he went back home to put on clothes which were more appropriate for the meeting with his secret love than what he was wearing before. At half past 4 he left the house and headed for the library.
Terry Craig was excited. He knew he was married to Pen, and they were very happy, but he couldn't stop thinking about that girl. She was beautiful, intelligent, nice, funny and just generally perfect. It was not Valentine's day yet, but he had told Pen he had to work, so it was the perfect day for him to do what he had planned ever since he had seen her for the first time.
He went to the florist and bought the biggest bouquet of flowers they had. He didn't have to buy a postcard, because he could draw one himself. “Hey,” he wrote, “You're beautiful and nice, and I think I love you. Please meet me in the library at 5 o'clock. From a secret admirer”.
He placed the bouquet and the card in front of her apartment, where she would find it as soon as she opened the door. He knew that she always left her apartment at half past 2 on Mondays, the doorman had given him this information for a picture of the Bombinating Beast. Then he went back to his office to put on the clothes he had put there the day before, because if he went home, Pen would see that he wasn't really working. At half past 4 he left the office and headed for the library.
Lucas was excited. He knew he was married to Tryina, but they were not very happy, because they were more like friends than anything else, and he couldn't stop thinking about that other girl. She was beautiful, intelligent, nice, funny and just generally perfect. It was not Valentine's day yet, but Tryina was gone away to do some research about Indonesian history, so it was the perfect day for him to do what he had planned ever since he had seen her for the first time.
He went to the florist and bought the biggest bouquet of flowers they had, which was only average sized, because the big ones seemed to be already taken. He also bought a postcard with a gif of an Asian man blowing a kiss to the person who looks at the card. “Hey ;D ,” he wrote, “I love you. Come to the library at 5 o'clock ;D ”.
He placed the bouquet and the card in front of her apartment, where she would find it as soon as she opened the door. He knew that she always left her apartment at half past 2 on Mondays, the doorman had given him this information for a Gangnam Style dancing lesson. Then he went back home to put on clothes which were more appropriate for the meeting with his secret love than his jeans and the Adventure Time t-shirt. At half past 4 he left the house and headed for the library.
When Ellie Spinelli opened her door at half past 2 to go to the supermarket, like she did every Monday, she almost tripped over four bouquets of flowers, a very big one, two big ones and one average sized one, and four postcards. She went back inside and found vases for the flowers, then she read the postcards. The cards were written by different people, as she could see because of the handwriting, but the contents of all four postcards was more or less the same – a secret admirer wanted to meet her in the library at 5 o'clock.
Ellie was flattered, and a little confused that it was not only one, but four men who wanted to meet her, and all at the same time and the same place. She knew that she couldn't start a relationship with anyone of them and they all would be disappointed if she told them, but she decided to meet them anyway.
Terry Craig was going up the stairs to the entrance of the library, when he saw his husband opening the door and about to enter. At the first moment he wanted to turn around and leave and wait for her somewhere on the way from her house to the library, but then he realized that Pen was also looking nervous and he was wearing different clothes than on a normal day when he was going to the library, so he was suspicious.
“What are you doing here?”, Terry Craid asked, and Pen jerked when he heard his voice. “I'm... eeeh... just.... going to the library,” he said. “But what are you doing here?” “I.... eeeehhh.... finished my work earlier.....soo.....I..... thought... I could go to the library.” “And why aren't you wearing the same clothes as when you left in the morning?”, Pen asked. Terry Craig said nothing, because at that moment Lucas almost ran into them. “Sorry ;D “ he said and they all went into the library, where Charlie was already standing. He looked nervous.
Ellie entered the library exactly at five o'clock. She had no other choice, she had to tell the boys the truth. They were all standing there, and she could almost see how their hearts all skipped a beat when they saw her.
She took a deep breath. “Guys,” she said, “I really like you all and I was flattered when I saw all the flowers and postcards. But I have to tell you something – I'm going to be married to the doorman next month.”
The secret admirers stared at her with open mouth. “The doorman?”, they asked all at the same time. For a moment, they were confused, then angry, but then they realized, that they just wanted her to be happy. “That's great!”, Charlie said and the others agreed.
Questions:
1. Who is the doorman?
2. Who or what is missing in this story?
