sansa is a strong and smart woman.
arya's cool too but she's still a kid. along with bran and past sansa, of course kids make stupid decisions. arya's still stuck in some dumb cult that she clearly doesn't belong in.

Sansa is boring and plain. I like her in the books, in the series she's salsaty as potato .
Arya's plot is a complete waste of time tho. It's okay guys, we get it, she doesn't belong there, she's not able to leave her life behind, STOP IT NOW. That arc should have ended at least 5 episodes ago.
And even when I really like GoT and I defend the sex and violence scenes, I gotta say this season is really meh. The dialogues are really bad, Tyrion is becoming a parody of himself and they're stretching stuff too much.

last season was the most dragged out, probably because they were running out of book material. now that they've bitten the bullet and straight up started inventing their own stories, i think this season is too rushed. aside from the arya plot, which they pretty clearly just don't know what to do with.

Its interesting that season 5 is so dragged out, as they apdated about 5 times as much material as in series four (S4 adpated about 450 apges, S5 did around 1,900) But i think the difference is they left out so much material from book4/5 (sam's trip to bravvoss, karstarks, jeyne pool, the iorn island stuff, brienne in the riveralnds, jamie with the tullys, lady stoneheart, mance rayder not dying, arrianne martell and arys oakheart, victoran greyjoy, quentyn martell, aegon targaryen, the larger role of yunkai and astapor, barristan selmy's stuff after dany leaves mereen with the green grace, penny, sansa in the vale, loras attacking dragonstone, and thats just the stuff i think of now.) The books are so much better

I started reading the first book at some point, and Arya was one of the main reasons why I stopped, I don't think I have ever hated anyone so much in any other book. If I had read one more word about her I would have had to kill her, which is not possible because she's a character in a book, so I just stopped reading.

WHAT
Anka you broke my heart right here. Arya is the best character ever wtf.
Also agree with some things M said. I still don't understand why they didn't do the Jeyne Pool stuff.

Arya as a character is pretty weak, but she does have a lot interesting stuff happen to her, so i can't say i don't enjoy her chapters.

i said i liked sansa and two people responded that arya is better, but its not a competition. i think bc they contrast so much people think they have to like one or the other. i get that arya is like some child sword fighter girl who needs no man and i can dig it but i love the hell out of sansa.
i know she made mistakes, god forbid a 14-year-old do something wrong!, but there's absolutely nothing bad about being girly and understanding social conventions and liking boys and makeup and dolls and dresses or whatever. being the rule breaking girl is cool, being a feminine girl is bad, and that is bullsalsa. you kick all their asses while wearing a nice dress, sansa.

like bandit said, sansa is a strong and smart woman. i think a lot of people are confused about that bc they dont think its possible for ~girly girls~ to be such things.

I personally identify more with Arya but Sansa is definitely cool too. Thus my comment that they rule together.

Not at all. I don't dislike Sansa comparing her with Arya, they're mad different and that's obvious, there's no possible comparison between her. Sansa always felt dull and boring to me, her growing predictable according to the situation as well as her actions. It would have been weird if she continued with the same childish attitude after the stuff she lived, but she reactioned in the expected way to me. There's no twist, no surprise, nothing new or remarkable. I can compare her with Cersei, or Margaery, who are on the same "feminine, smart, delicate but potato ing dangerous kind of women" field. I think both of them are way more interesting.

Cersei or Margaery might have feminine traits and play roles similar to Sansa's on the show but i feel like everyone watching knows they are badasses. Sansa's game is much subtler. i guess it might seem boring on the surface but she's been walking such a tightrope since season one where if she makes one wrong move, shes dead. AND she cant let anyone know she's doing anything at all or she's dead. thats sure as potato not boring.

Well I pretty much say I prefer Arya over Sansa comparing the Stark family, not comparing her as women or as sisters.
I think Sansa didn't do much for herself, she always had someone else saving her and doing the dirty work. I do hope to see her making some big stuff on her own tho.
