A thick cloud of black smoke exploded suddenly. A very green lady with a poiny black hat, a black gown and a broom appeared out of the cloud. Lucas thought for a moment that she somewhat resembled Songbird and protectively reached for Psy.
"Who killed my sister?" she asked, as she surveyed the damage the house had brought. She stared around at the town, and the three people currently standing amidst the sheep. Her eyes lingered on Lucas and his brand new sticker. "It was you wasn't it?" she said.
"I didn't mean to Ms. Green Lady, it was an accident!" Lucas pleaded. "Lady Grantham was my sister and you dropped a house on her! What did she ever do to you?" "I don't know what or who you are talking about miss! I never meant to hurt anyone," he said crying. To Anka, he whispered, "who is that lady?"
"That's the Wicked Witch of the West...and she's a lot meaner than her sister. Instead of just stealing the sheep, she also uses them as ammunition for her sheep catapult. She probably also eats them and does other terrible things to people as well." Lucas could feel a lump rising in his throat he was getting so nervous.
"She was the only other one of my kind here in this land and you killed her! Now I'm the last of my line, and nobody wants to have green children so essentially we're now extinct because of you! And you stole her shoes? What kind of a person kills someone with a house just to steal her shoes? I thought I was wicked but that's just messed up," said the Witch. "I didn't want the slippers, they're really not my style Ms. West, here take them!"
The Witch reached for the shoes but just as her hands got close she felt an electric shock course through her, like she had just been stuck with the world's most powerful lightning bolt. "You put a spell on them!" she raged, turning to face Anka. "They're better on Lucas' feet than on yours vile woman!" said Anka. Sixteen and the sheep were astonished that the good witch would ever say a mean thing to another living being. They knew that something was going to go down. The Witch looked as if she was about to cast a spell, but saw how angry the townsheep were. There were at least a thousand sheep glaring at her madly so she hopped up on her broom. "This isn't over, I'll get you my pretty and your strange dog too!" and with that, she cackled maniacally and flew away.

jeanlucio10: I would like to read now a short story written by Lemony Snicket about how VFD helped to defeat Nazism. This would be interesting to introduce the subject to children.

Terry Craig: I think the historical events are interesting enough on their own, and don't need to be taught just to introduce children to Lemony Snicket.
