On Christmas day, something happened.
Many things had already happened, of course, but something even more unexpected happened on that day.
Bandit's car parked outside 667 Dark Avenue, the frost from last night fresh on the windscreen. On the passenger seat was a box of apple muffins, and a box of poison darts. Hopefully the muffins weren't poisoned.
Luke's snowman was starting to melt and the sun rays hit upon its snowy surface. Luke was confused. A few seconds ago it had been dark, but now it was light.
He stood up, and walked over to the car. He'd been sat down in the snow for too long, maybe it would be warmer in there. He tried the door, and it was locked, and he climbed into the backseat.
A few seconds later he heard a gunshot.
Bee came running of 667, she opened the driver's door and climbed in. Luckily the keys were still in the ignition, and she drove off. She didn't seem to realise Luke was sat in the backseat the entire time.
As Bee began to drive frantically through the streets of the city, unsure where to go, Terry collapsed having been shot, and Anka frantically called an ambulance.
A few blocks down the rosd another phone call was being made, but this to another of the emergency services - the police. As Dante fled from Antenora's house, it was only by luck that he then received a phone call from his associate, saying that they had to meet.
But something much more interesting was happening to the rooftop of 667 Dark Avenue. As Betsy and Charlie worked out how they would escape the town without being captured by the police, a man who may be BSam, but also may not be, arrived on the rooftop and confused the both of them.
And in a small quaint house at the far side of town, the oldest man who had ever lived felt the passing of Tragedy, as a new leader of 667 Dark Avenue was about to be chosen.
On Christmas day many things happened. And this is the story of how they came pass.
Mister M presents
The Big Christmas Party - The End
[/font][/u][/b]
On the rooftop of 667 Dark Avenue, something was happening
'BSam?' said Betsy.
'No,' said Aang.
'But you're dead,' said Charlie.
'Um... I don't think so,' said Aang.
'You are,' said Betsy, 'I killed you myself.' and she pointed to a body lying on the rooftop.
Aang looked at the body, and it did look quite a lot like BSam. 'Maybe you did kill BSam, but I'm not BSam. I'm his clone.'
'Clone?' said Charlie. 'Who cloned you?'
'Tragedy.'
'Why?' asked Betsy. 'And how?'
'Because he's just easily bored I suppose. And I don't know how.'
'Okay,' said Betsy.
'No, not really. You killed me?'
'Yeah, sorry about that.'
'Why?'
'Because you knew about the diamonds,' said Charlie.
'Diamonds?' said Aang.
'Charlie!' said Besty. 'For Christ's sake.'
'Sorry,' said Charlie 'I just assumed he knew.'
'But now he knows.'
'Sorry.'
AAAARGHHH.
A loud screaming noise came from the corner of the rooftop.
The noise was Willis. He was still alive.
'Willis!' said Charlie, rushing over to him.
He stood up, struggling to balance. 'You,' he pointed at Betsy, 'tried... to...'
'I'm sorry,' said Betsy.
But Willis suddenly broke into a run, collided with Betsy and they both teetered on the edge of the roof.
A body fell to the ground.
'Where are we going now?' asked Bandit.
'You're the Wolf, but there's still some unfinished business,' said Pandora.
They had left the Team Wolf building with the promise of returning once this final piece of business was over, but Bandit was still confused as to what was going to happen.
Bandit eventually realised that they were walking to Miserable Meals, or more specifically Dante's database.
When they eventually arrived, Dante was already waiting there, and the database was destroyed, with only a few pieces of rubble meaning.
'What's Bandit doing here?' Dante asked them.
'He's the Wolf now,' said Pandora. 'I've retired.'
'Ah, I see. Well, Bandit, I can't stay long. The police are after me.'
'You finally did it then?' Pandora asked. 'You killed Hermes?'
'I did indeed. And it was all for nothing,' he sad sadly. 'Anyway, what do you want?'
'Give it to me,' Pandora said, and she stuck out her arm.
'How did you know?' asked Dante.
'Because you would have only given it to Tragedy on the condition you could retrieve it after it was activated,' said Pandora, still holding out her arm.
Dante reached into the pocket of his coat, and pulled out a small box and handed it to Pandora.
'Is that it?' asked Dante.
'No,' said Pandora, 'one more thing. What happened to the database?'
'Fire.' Dante turned to walk back down the fire escape.
Pandora gave the box to Bandit. 'Be careful with it,' she said.
'Why?' asked Bandit.
'That box is Counterpoint, and inside it are several very expensive diamonds.'
Bandit suddenly realised how important the box he was holding was, and it felt much heavier than before.
'If it's all the same to you, Bandit, I'm going to go home. I... I don't really know what I'm supposed to do with myself anymore, but I'll figure something out.'
'Okay.'
'Go back to Team Wolf. They'll tell you what to do.'
Dante stepped off the last step of the fire escape, and slowly walked back the way he had come.
The car that had been driving up the side of the road stopped, and the window rolled won. It was Bee.
'Hey Dante,' said Bee 'I could use your help.'
'I'm a little busy at the moment,' said Dante.
'Well, so am I.'
'I'm heading to the police station.'
'Ah. Well, I'm heading as far away from there as possible. Why are you going to the police?'
'Im gonna turn myself in. There's no point in me running. Why are you?'
'Because I shot Terry. Look, Dante, I need your help.'
'I can't help anyone,' said Dante.
Bee drove away as quickly as possible.
The ambulance arrived, Terry was bundled into it, and the paramedics checked over Mister M. For somemone who had been through what he had been through, he wa in a pretty good shape.
'Are you sure you're okay?' asked Anka.
'I'm fine' said Mister M.
'I think you've broken your arm,' said Anka.
'I just want to go home.'
'I think you should go to the hospital with Terry.'
'Seriously, Anka, let's go home and enjoy Christmas or whatever.'
'Hmm.'
'I think we should, I think.'
A sudden shouting came from the top of the staircase 'Umm, I could use some help.'
It was Charlie and BSam. And they were holding... someone in their arms.
Anka ran over to them. Mister M decided that woudln't be good for him.
'Oh my god,' said Anka, 'who is that?'
'It's... er... it's Willis.'
Bee drove for miles and miles, and Luke was unsure where they were going.
The whole time he had managed to remain hidden, laying down in the gap between the seat and the seat in front of it.
He had heard what Bee had said to Dante, she had tried to kill someone.
Luke was scared.
Bee eventually pulled up, opened the car door and shut it once more. Luke waited until he could no longer hear the sound of footsteps, and he sat up.
He looked out of the window and knew where he was straight away. They were at Pen's house.
Luke took out his phone and called Bandit. He didn't answer, but Luke left a message saying what he had learned.
Nervously, Luke opened the door of the car and headed inside the house, the front door left open.
He could hear that Bee and Pen were talking, but he couldn't make out exactly what they were saying.
But then suddenly Bee seemed to walk closer, and he could work out what was being said.
'I've left the crusts, I hope you don't mind,' said Bee. 'I find them positively boring. I need a place to crash for a few days. Is it okay if I stay here?'
'Yeah,' said Pen, 'sure. I'm going out of town for a while anyway.'
Bee laughed. 'No you're not. Nobody's going out of town.'
'Why?' asked Pen
'Watch the news, Pen. You should have come to the party. You missed out.'
Luke walked into the room.
'Oh,' said Bee, 'hey luke. what are you doing here?'
'I, um, I followed you, Bee,' said Luke.
'Luke, what happened at the party?' asked Pen.
'Why weren't you there?' Luke asked.
'I... um... I had my reasons.'
'What were they?' asked Bee.
'Me and Betsy had an argument.'
'About what?' asked Bee.
'Just... it's nothing. Look, Bee, Luke, what happened last night?'
'I don't know,' said Bee. 'There was a... incident at 667. Luke, why did you follow me?'
'I was told to,' said Luke.
'By who? Sherry Ann?' said Bee.
'No.' Luke was surprised. 'Why would it be Sherry Ann?'
'Well, I have reasons to believe she stole the diamonds from me.'
'Oh,' said Luke 'Well.... that's not true.'
'What? Then who stole the diamonds?'
'It was... umm... Charlie.'
'How do you know that?' asked Pen.
'Wait, how do you know that?' asked Luke.
'Betsy told me, that's what we were arguing about.'
'Charlie told me when we were playing snakes and ladders.'
'But Terry told me it was Sherry Ann,' said Bee, confused. 'But then Terry told me it was dark when it was light. Why would he lie?'
'Terry wasn't lying,' said a voice that nobody had expected. 'He just didn't understand.'
The Wolf had walked into Pen's house.
Bee and Pen both had looks of horror on their faces.
'Luke,' said the Wolf, 'you called me?'
'No, I didn't call you, I called Ba... oh.' Luke paused and thought.
'Terry thought Sheryr Ann stole the diamonds because BSam lied to him. He wanted to protect Betsy.'
'Why did he lie about it being dark?' Bee asked.
'Becuase for him it was dark.'
'Right, whatever,' said Bee.
'Not whatever, Bee. You shot Terry. Thats not good. He's going to die. In a few hours, he will be gone. You did that.'
'I'm sorry,' said Bee. 'Are you going to kill me now?'
'No,' said the Wolf. 'Terry needed to die. He was a bad person. No, I came here to tell Luke to come with me.'
'Okay,' said Luke.
The Wolf turned to leave, and said one last thing. 'The police are on their way, Bee. If I were you I'd leave now and never come back.'
Pandora arrived back at her apartment, with a strange feeling inside her mind.
Finally she was free. No more Wolf, no more Dante, no more... responsibility.
She took her shoes and laid down on the sofa, and sighed.
She had no idea what to do now.
Her phone rang. It was Charlie.
'Charlie?' she said.
'Hey Pandora, look, you should probably go to the hospital.'
'What? Why?'
'It's Willis. He's, ah, he's in a bad way.'
Pandora rushed to the hospital as quickly as she could.
When she arrived she was surprised to find Charlie wasn't there. Betsy wasn't there either. In fact, nobody was there at all.
After waiting a few hours, she finally could talk to Willis.
'Hey,' she said.
'Hey,' he said back.
'What happened? Are you going to be all right?'
'I was shot, and yeah, apparently I will be.'
'Who shot you?'
'It was Betsy, she stole the diamonds. I found out and so she tried to kill me.'
'Okay. Where is she? What happened to her?'
'She fell off a roof. Big fall.' Willis looked sad.
'I'm sorry.'
'It's okay. But how long have you known?'
'How long have I known what?'
'About the diamonds. That Betsy stole them.'
'What? But.. I didn't know. Why do you -'
'Cut the crap, Pandora. I just told you that and you didn't react at all.'
Pandora sighed. 'I found out this morning.'
'How?'
'BSam told me'
'How did he find out?'
'Luke told him.'
'How did he find out?'
'Charlie told him.'
'Oh.'
'Yeah.'
Willis laid glumly in silence. 'Pandora... Betsy killed BSam as well.'
'I know;
'What? how?' asked Willis.
Pandora stood up and held Willis' hand. 'I think I should tell you the truth. I... I was the Wolf. Well, I am the Wolf, but I'm not anymore. I was but now it's someone else. And I wanted to tell you but I couldn't, I couldn't tell anyone. And... yeah.'
'Pandora,' said Willis, calmly, 'it's okay. I kind of guessed.'
'Oh. Why didn't you say anything.'
'Because I thought it would probably be best if I didn't.'
'Are you okay with that?'
'I don't know, Pandora. I just need some rest.'
The first image was an old man sat in the centre of a circle talking to a Wolf.
The image faded away, ad another appeared.
Bee and Pen were driving away through the countryside. They were hiding from the police, and they both were eating apple muffins.
The image disappeared and reformed for a final time.
Terry was laying in a hospital. Terry was dead.Bandit pulled himself out of the bath and dressed.
'What was that all about?' Luke asked.
'I was taking a bath. When I take a bath, I see things. Well, 3 things.' Bandit crossed them off on his fingers. 'One thing from the past, one thing from the present, one form the future. And they are all linked.'
'What did you see?' Luke asked.
'I saw the first administrator of 667, I saw Bee and Pen leaving town on the run, and I saw Terry laying in a hospital room.'
'How are they all connected?' Luke asked.
'The first and the second I don't know. But Bee shot Terry, now I think he's going to die.'
'What? And now we're going to save his life,' Luke smiled.
'No, Luke, no. It means we need to pick a new admin for 667. I think... I think it was supposed to be Pen, but now it isn't. Now... I dont know who it could be. But it has to be someone. And fast.'
The sun was beginning to set.
Charlie hadn't left 667 all day, he had been sat on the rooftop, looking down at the world below him.
The woman he loved was dead. Killed by her brother.
It was all a lot to take in, and Charlie didn't know what to do now.
'Hey,' said Mister M.
'Oh,' said Charlie, 'hey.'
'I thought you'd still be here. Wanna chat?'
'Kay then.'
Mister M came and sat on the edge of the roof with Charlie, and dangled his feet to the side. Charlie noticed Mister M's arm.
'What happened to your arm?'
'A chandelier.' Mister M smiled. 'What happened yo you thought Charlie? Why did Betsy shoot her brother? And he said she killed BSam as well but he isn't dead.'
'That isn't BSam,' said Charlie, 'he's a clone.'
'A clone?' said Mister M. 'Who cloned him?'
'Tragedy, apparently.'
'Okay. That's a bit... random.'
'I'm sure it was meant for something.'
'But why did Betsy shoot Willis?'
'Because we did something,' said Charlie, 'something bad.'
'Please don't tell me,' said Mister M. 'I don't want to know.'
'I don't want to tell you. Everyone who has been told has ended up dead. Either someone killed them or I've killed them or -'
'You've killed people?' said Mister M, shocked. 'Who?'
Charlie began to cry. 'Sophie.'
'Okay wow.' Mister M moved to stand up, and sighed. 'You should go, Charlie.'
'Go?' asked Charlie.
'Go. I don't know what happened, and I don't want to know. But you should leave.'
'Are you going to call the police?' Charlie asked.
'No... no, I'm not. I'm saying you should leave 667 for a while. I don't know how long. But I'll be waiting for you when you come back.'
Charlie stood up and wiped his tears. 'But where can I go?'
Mister M thought for a while, and he looked at the setting sun as the last of the light began to fade. 'Go anywhere.'
And Mister M walked back to the stairs, and took one last look at Charlie.
When Mister M reached the lobby, he didn't tell Anka what Charlie had done. Anka didn't tell Mister M what had happened with Tragedy. They didn't tell each other what had happened over the last 24 hours, and they never would.
He was waiting for Bandit this time.
The old man had changed out of his robe and was now wearing a purple suit and drinking tea when Bandit arrived.
'I'm here,' he said.
'I can see that,' said the man.
'You made the Wolf, and now a new admin needs to be chosen for 667,' said Bandit.
'And why do you think I can help you with that?'
'Don't play coy. I can see things now. The Wolf is the admin. It always was. But there was nobody to take over as admin the Wolf foudn a life of its own, and began to take its own masters. It couldn't take on Tragedy, he was just a computer program. But now I don't know how to make myself an admin.'
'And why do you think I can help you with that?'
'Well I... um... well,' Bandit gulped, 'I just assumed you would know.'
'Why?'
'Well you're the first. You were the first admin.'
The man chuckled. 'Yes I was, Bandit. But there isn't a way to make someone admin. There isn't a ceremony.'
'Then what do I do?' begged Bandit.
The man chuckled once more. 'Calm down, dear boy. To want it is to have it. And you most definitly want it.'
'Wait, are you saying that...'
'You already are 667's new admin. Congratulations.'
As Pandora walked home, she thought about what she'd done.
It had only just occured to her that her best friend was dead. She had killed Linda. She had been the Wolf at the time, but still. It had been her under that mask. The whole time. And she had killed someone in cold blood.
And she had murdered Lemona as well, all because she had been eavesdropping.
The entire time she had been the Wolf she had been trying to make up for the mistakes she had made in the past, but now they were just even more than before. Pandora doubted she would never get that chance again.
She needed to get home now.
Pandora opened the front door, and was surprised at who she found inside.
'Bsam?' she said.
'No,' said Aang, 'Aang.'
'Oh... Willis told me about you.'
'Yeah.' said Aang.
'Um... what are you doing?'
'I don't know what to do,' he said. 'Sherry Ann's dead.'
'Oh' oh potato, thought Pandora 'Okay.'
'I have nowhere else to go.'
Pandora's phone started to ring, and she answered it.
'Hello?'
'Hey, Pandora,' said Bandit, 'I need your help.'
'Look, I said if you need anything you should talk to Team Wolf.'
'I did, but it's not that. I'm admin of 667 now.'
'Oh, okay,' said Pandora. 'And??'
'Well, I need someone to run LITMUS for me. I thought maybe you could do it.'
Pandora thought for a moment and looked at Aang. Maybe this was her chance.
'I'll do it. I'll run LITMUS.'
THE END
Thanks to anka, who i wrote this for, to betsy who made we keep writing, and to everyone else who made me finish
As the door was shut on Dante's cell, he leaned back and smiled.
He reached into his pocket, and pulled out six diamonds, and placed them on the floor of his cell in a circle.
'Wo zhàohuàn ni,' he said.
A few seconds later, the Wolf appeared in his cell.
'Bandit?' he asked.
The Wolf nodded.
'I want you to do something for me. I want you to find Antenora, and I want you to kill her for me. Understood?'
The Wolf stood still.
'Understood?' Dante asked again.
The Wolf stood still.
'Are you disobeying a direct order?'
'You have no hold over me.' the Wolf turned to Dante 'I'm not Pandora. 'The Wolf disappeared.
Dante sat back down on his bed and picked up the diamonds, and placed them back in his pocket, and smiled.
