i did want to be a gryffindor bc it was the ~cool house and whatever and hufflepuffs were like the losers. but helena hufflepuff is the only person who knows how education works like its about learning not people who were brave or smart or bastards or whatever, and i love that she wouldnt put up with elitist bullsalsa
I never wanted to be gryffindor. I remember when all my friends thought about who they would be if they were in Harry Potter, and I thought I would probably be some random Ravenclaw person, none of the main characters would even know my name and I would find Harry, Ron and Hermione super annoying in school lessons. Also I would probably be best friends with an unpopular Slytherin.
I like Hufflepuff. I wanted Harry to be in Hufflepuff. But I'm pretty sure I'm in Ravenclaw.
(Has anyone noticed, by the way, that Ravenclaw is the only house that never had any notable deaths? I was convinced for years that Luna would die, because of this and other things, but she never did.)

Comet: Also I'm a little bit disappointed that I didn't manage to quote Steven Pinker in the psycholinguistics paper I'm writing, because I'd've loved to make a section titled 'Pinker and the Brain'
