Think with more economy. This is the Great ?4 Countdown to 29th September thread, not the Remember How Many Child Journalists Daniel Handler Has Written About thread, much though I approve of the discussion of the interests of his characters. Kit and Jacques's profiles were also written very carefully and their literary choices made very deliberately and I think they're very interesting. I'm also intrigued by the possible contents of the T.A.O.A. dossier included in the sweepstakes prize. I hope that nobody will neglect to think about these.

I believe I've mentioned that the Egmont edition back cover will prove to be missing a number of illustrations that will appear on the LB edition back cover. This is one of them: 22nd September - 7 days to go...Start investigating Lemony Snicket’s All the Wrong Questions 4: “Why is This Night Different from All Other Nights?” here.

Cool image (and it looks even better as a gif), but a better tagline would be 'In one week it will be two weeks since you read ATWQ 4.

Kit and Jacques's profiles were also written very carefully and their literary choices made very deliberately and I think they're very interesting. Jacques' favourite book presumably means that he will not appear in the book. Kit's, on the other hand: well I don't know what to make of it. She can change the past by her dreams? Does this perhaps imply that the world of ATWQ is not, after all, the world of ASOUE? Or that the events of ATWQ are now different from what they seemed to be at the time - e.g. that Kit was actually in Stain'd all the time? As for Moxie's, it seems to support a certain speculation which has been made before.

Wait wait wait, some of these images are character profiles? Could someone please, pretty please describe/transcribe them? I'll find some way to repay you if it's time consuming!!!!! I'll produce you some transcripts, though it is worth noting that the information on the profiles is more or less non-canon, in the sense that it's not actually from the books, though it is a lot of fun. A lot of the other images have text but it's mostly quotes from the early pages, previous books, nothing substantial that you're missing. -~< Kit SnicketOccupations: Volunteer/Sibling Commonly Applied Descriptives: Fearless, Intelligent, Stubborn Principal Predicament: Jailed, while outside trouble and tea are brewing Favorite Book: The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula LeGuin Overheard Saying: "The rope will only hold the weight of one prowler, so I'll go alone." Recently Seen: Clutching to the 12th-floor windowsill of a building, after the rope broke.
