We talked about it during the last Penthouse, but don't you think that a stronger/constant presence in social networks would be a good way to get new members? I'm particularly thinking about a Facebook Fanpage where we can upload all the ASOUE/ATWQ/LS/DH news and maybe some of the interesting discussions/theories threads we have here, so other people can join us.
What do you think?

I think that would be a good idea. I'm worried that there would suddenly be two places where I'd have to look to ensure that I didn't miss anything, but having 667 pop up on my feed once in a while would be generally enjoyable. Maybe good quotes or observations from our discussions of the book could be uploaded to lure people in? Or fanart? We could make a 'Snicket collection' photo album. I know we already have a thread for that here, but that's just as much for complimenting each other's collections. I was thinking our books could be eye candy to draw other members in.

We have a Twitter, I was looking at it last night. If there was a Facebook maybe that could attract new members with like, the 667er and Penthouse reminders people would be like "Aww sick, yo! I love myself some Lemony Snicket sign me right the potato up!"

I run the 667 Twitter for Lemony Snicket news, though I've occasionally reported on events grand enough to bring them to my attention, including announcing the site's thirteenth anniversary, which was itself retweeted by the official Lemony Snicket Twitter account. I'd be happy to post about any other site-related news or notable occurrences which people were to inform me of, although any other social networking accounts would have to be run by someone else, as I frankly haven't the patience.

I used to run the 667 Dark Avenue group on deviantART. You want that to be active again?

I think our goal should be a link on the atwq and/or Daniel Handler website now.
No ideas how to accomplish this; thoughts?

I don't think either of those websites are really built for affiliate links, though; in any case, it was a bit easier back in the days when there were multiple credible fansites you could link to rather than just one and three million Tumblrs. The official Twitter has occasionally retweeted our coverage, which isn't bad.
