a lot of theories for lemony snicket’s books.
-Is Beatrice Baudelaire alive? (ahhhhh i love that theory)
-Are the monster from the ATWQ and the question-mark from ASOUE the same thing?
-Is Olaf the Beatrice’s (2) father?
-Was R at the Island?
-The intial of the 13 books are an anagram? (b,r,w,m,a,e,v,h,c,s,g,p,e)
-Are Elington and Beatrice Connected? Are they the same person?
-Is Moxie’s mother at the city? If not where else?
-When Kit catched by the police at museum she was trying to get the sugarbowl?
-Is Theodora more usefull than she seems? Is she the woman with hair but not beard?
-are Sir and Charles a gay couple? (Lisa Brown Dan’s husband said yes.)
-Does the teachers from Purfpock stole the Baudelaire fortune?
-Is Jojephin alive? Does she survived from the leches?
-Are Hangfire and Olaf connected?
Quigley Quagmire says a lot of things throughout the series that are both strange and contradictory. This rather in-depth analysis lists all the quotes where Quigley seemed to go against things he had already said. Most notably, Quigley is able to navigate his way through areas that the Bauldelaires struggled, all without any assistance. His instance that he arrived at Professor Montgomery’s house only shortly after the Orphans were taken away is also strange, as his brother and sister insist that they had been at Prufrock Prep for quite some time. Why Quigley said that the survivor the Snicket File was talking about was him? Maybe the file is talking about Beatrice. Βeatrice is alivve. Ok?
She’s looking for her childrens. Everytime she thinks that she had find them they had left. Can you remember the mysterious woman who was in the cave with the Baudelaires? Or the woman in the taxi at the 12th book? Was she Beatrice Baudelaire?
Is she alive?
And why Quigley lied?

The Bombinating Beast is The Great Unknown from The Grim Grotto and The End.
The Bombinating Beast statue is what’s inside the sugar bowl.
The Bombinating Beast is actually real. (Very unlikely, considering that would make this series of the fantasy genre and Snicket doesn’t write fantasy. Very unlikely, but still not entirely impossible. Plus, if there was a Snicket book where the existence of a sea monster would fit the story and the eerie black and white setting that Stain’d-By-The-Sea is, it would be here. Also, it would be pretty interesting to find out that the Baudelaires had been swallowed by a mythical sea creature at the end of The End.)
Assuming that the Bombinating Beast is real, then perhaps why so many people want the statue of the beast is because it controls the real beast.
The Bombinating Beast is a V.F.D. submarine. Or rather, it’s a V.F.D. submarine made to look like the mythical Bombinating Beast to scare people away (think Scooby-Doo). Maybe they’re looking for something at the bottom of the sea. Not the sugar bowl, as this seems to be before the big schism. But perhaps something else…
Further elaborating on that last one, the Bombinating Beast is run by the evil side of V.F.D., explaining why Captain Widdershins was afraid of it in The Grim Grotto. Or, it’s good, explaining why Olaf was also afraid and Kit, if I remember correctly, wasn’t (she said she took her chances with the question mark and obviously it didn’t hurt her otherwise she wouldn’t have gotten to the island)
Speaking of Widdershins, wasn’t there a part in The End in the narration where Snicket says something like Kit was running towards Widdershins and later running away from him. Anyone remember this?
Back to ATWQ, Ellington Feint theories:
Ellington is actually Beatrice (she could have easily just given Lemony a fake name). This would explain the chemistry between her and Lemony.
Ellington isn’t real. (This goes with the supernatural theory about the Beast being real. I read on a fansite, I believe it was 667 Dark Avenue but don’t take my word for it, that some fans think it’s suspicious that Ellington’s eyebrows are question mark shaped, just like The Great Unknown/The Bombinating Beast. The theory is that the Beast has “created” Ellington from a piece of itself in order to have her retrieve its statue, meaning that Ellington isn’t a real human and explaining the question marks and all the black. Kind of extreme and far fetched, but again, can’t entirely be ruled out).
Ellington is Hangfire’s daughter and is evil
Ellington is good but is just confused and doesn’t know what to do
Hangfire is somehow related to Count Olaf. A relative, perhaps? A tutor? Olaf must have gotten his wickedness from someone!
Hangfire is The Man With Beard But No Hair
Hangfire isn’t real. He is a machine. This explains his voice changing and it might explain why he’s as big as the entire city in the book trailer! (“Who is watching all of us?”)
S. Theodora is The Woman With Hair But No Beard
Qwerty is in V.F.D. I mean, come on! He’s a sub-librarian!
Qwerty is going to die in a later book. (Snicket has alluded to a future book focusing on murder, idk why but I feel like Qwerty would be the character to kill off).
Prosper Lost is going to be a bigger character than we think. His name seems extremely meaningful, for some reason. Prosper. Lost. Prosper, and lost. Prosper Lost. Hmm…
Hector is the Hector from The Vile Village. (Duh. That’s obvious. That shouldn’t even be theory, it’s a fact).
Hector’s hot air mobile home is essential for capturing The Bombinating Beast? Or at least, essential in a matter relating to the sea and its mysteries? (whatever the hell those mysteries are). Octopi maybe?
Octopi are going to prove to be incredibly important to the plot. Has anyone seen that octopi video on Snicket’s website? Plus the octopi illustrations in the book.
Lemony and Moxie will kiss. It just will happen. Just you wait.

-The initials of the 13 books are an anagram? (b,r,w,m,a,e,v,h,c,s,g,p,e) After a lot of time on a letter scrambler and not coming up with anything other than the occasional word among a bunch of nonsense, I can say with quite some confidence that this is unlikely. -Are Ellington and Beatrice connected? Are they the same person? I had this thought whilst reading ATWQ too and really wanted it to be true but from The Beatrice Letters, you can see that L and B met when they were 10; Lemony was 12, almost 13 in ATWQ when he meets Ellington, and whilst it's possible that somehow Beatrice could have shown up at Stain'd by the Sea to be Ellington, I say that it's highly unlikely. Connected though, quite possible. -Are Sir and Charles a gay couple? It's literally canon that they are. They're literally referred to as partners, and if they were of the opposing sex then I'm sure that everyone would be saying that they were a couple.

Hello, all. Just to avoid confusion, I thought I would explain that I merged two three of orestisbaudelaire's theory threads, as I didn't feel the two threads had enough to distinguish them.
orestisbaudelaire, your enthusiasm is commendable. But it would be better if you thought a bit harder about some of these theories rather than just copying them from Tumblr, and make sure to read the entire series before you speculate about events which have already occurred. As has been explained above, a lot of your ideas and theories have already been answered by the books themselves. I suspect that quite a few of these theories are many years old.

If ?3 and ?4 haven't yet been published in your country, that's a different matter, then; your English is quite good, so I assumed you were from an English-speaking country and had free access to the latter half of ATWQ, but if you don't, that's understandable. Still, if you get impatient, you might want to consider acquiring English-language editions from abroad, perhaps as digital books, in order to stay up-to-date. I intend to comment on some of your theories myself later, but I've been rather busy lately and haven't had the time yet.
