i don't think it's a coincidence that the bad covers were also YA. but that could be a horrible history book for all i know I dunno about the contents of the history book as it's written in Dutch, but the YA covers sure took a lot of effort, and I don't think I can even emulate that with all my Photoshop skills.

Bandit: That cover for WAP is wonderful, much more exciting than the one I have.
Lemona: Wow, that makes me want to read the book. What sort of a book is it?

Lemona, your book cover is obviously rad.

It's a picture book written in rhyme about a mission to the moon. It's steampunky and fancy, and I was crazy about it as a kid.

Always really loved this cover for some reason.

This one's rad imo. I just wish it didn't have a tagline marring it. The covers of the two following books were kind of poor man's versions of this, though the books themselves were far better.

All of Ralph Steadman's work is rad, but this one might be my favorite cover of his:

Nice cover. I haven't read the book, but oh man, the 1980 TV mini-series based on it is fan-effing-tastic. Its director Rainer Werner Fassbinder is one of my favourites and it might be his magnum opus.

I've heard good things about the book before (well, being described as "offbeat" tends to grab my attention). But when I googled to find where exactly DH had mentioned the book, I've only stumbled upon an Amazon reviewer who claimed that DH obviously hasn't read the book although pretending to have read it on NPR, lol.

Yeah he mentioned it on an npr interview around the time of THH's release. Terry Gross asked "what are you reading?" so I guess it's possible DH had just started reading it when he talked about it or something. Or he might just be a poser.
Sadly the interview itself has vanished from the internet.
