King Tragedy had finally turned good. For years and years he had forced his subjects to fight in the Dark Games, a tournament where 24 entered, but only one was allowed to leave alive. I realize that the ending of the first Dark Games story might have changed things, and made Tragedy not the king anymore or things like that, but please ignore any inconsistencies because I’m going to. To atone for his misdeeds, he decided to step down as ruler of Dark Avenue. His loyal second hand man, Willis, ran the election to elect the new leader, and Lemona was the winner, and nobody was confused or creeped out at all by the totally normal election process. The people rejoiced for their new leader, and made offerings to gain her favor. The land was finally filled with harmony However, Tragedy wasn’t pleased with the results after a few days, so he used his royal veto power that he still somehow had to elect the second place finisher, Trip. People were a bit confused by this turn of events, but after initial hesitancy embraced her as their new queen. After a few days though, Tragedy grew dissatisfied with this result as well. Next he named Teleram king. Teleram banished Bear from the kingdom within seconds of gaining the crown, so Tragedy dethroned him and then named Bear king. Bear banned Teleram, so Tragedy named his close friend Bee queen instead.
As you can probably guess, this pattern continued forever and ever world without end. Bee was replaced by Linda, who was replaced by BSam, who was replaced by a duo of Mister M and Anka. Those two were replaced by Peppermince, then Hermes. Dante actually overthrew Hermes himself, but then Tragedy replaced him with Pen. I’m just going to list the rest of the people who became king or queen to make it easier now. Zortegus, Terry Craig, Comet, Sophie, LSWannabe, Pandora, Antenora, eponine, Shelly and songbird. So now songbird is the queen, but everybody is fed up so they all go to Tragedy’s meeting room. By all I mean everybody who at one point has been king or queen so far. Tragedy and Willis are in there talking about basketball probably, and all the people crowd up to them. “Tragedy, we demand you pick one of us to be the ruler, once and for all,” said Zortegus. “I don’t even know who you are,” said Tragedy which was very rude but he wasn’t doing it to be rude. Not that he doesn’t try to be rude because frankly he does a lot but coincidentally this time he wasn’t. “Listen, I may not be a tyrant anymore, but I still can’t say I know what it takes to be a good leader. All I know is that all the people who I have chosen are among the best to be ruler of all of 667 Dark Avenue and no other candidates are suitable.” The crowd murmured, flattered by this answer but also annoyed by its lack of value towards resolving things. “Okay, to make things fair, we shall form a special election committee, of all of us in this room right now to decide. Willis, go to the other room and fetch us some refreshments while we deliberate.” Willis, who was not Tragedy’s servant but his loyal second hand man, and also kind of annoyed that Tragedy didn’t consider him a viable option to be kind, angrily but obediently went to the kitchen. As he left, somebody remarked “Now that Willis has left there are 24 of us left in this room, the exact amount of people who would partake in the Dark Games, the annual contest I used to hold forcing my subjects to kill each other.” Everybody chuckled at this funny coincidence. “Okay, let me go to my desk and get ballots and pens, so we can all pick the new leader of 667 Dark Avenue once and for all. But because he has spent so much time thinking about how funny and random it was that there were 24 of them in the room, he accidentally tripped.
As he slowly fell, Tragedy life flashed before his eyes. The people he had mistreated, the things he said he wished he hadn’t, the things he never did that he desperately longed to do. Fortunately he was fine because all he did was land on a red button. Unfortunately that didn’t help the situation at all, because he landed on the big red button that activated the Dark Games. “Oh no” they all exclaimed in horror, but it was too late to do anything now. The next Dark Games had begun, and the tributes were all the candidates to become King or Queen of Dark Avenue. “I guess that’s one way to decide it,” said bear probably. 24 combatants enter, but only one can exit victorious. Who will live? Who will die? Does the author know enough about you guys to make this an interesting story or will he fall back on the unfunny inside jokes that nobody reading the story will understand now? Nobody knows, but we’ll sure find out together probably!
