The 667er: Welcome to The 667er interview Lemona! Our short-lived admin.
Lemona: Hi, thanks for having me.
The 667er: Were you surprised to suddenly become admin, and then just as suddenly not be admin anymore?
Lemona: Yes, very x2. They both happened while I was kind of in the middle of something and casually checking 667 quickly so it was an alarming experience. It may be over but I will always remember that I came into power on the same day Donald Trump did.
The 667er: Did you have any plans that were interrupted by your loss of power?
Lemona: Yup. Dunno if I should share them on the off-chance I get to carry them out one day. Several involved avatar-changing. Not my avatar either. One change I did enact was making the box where the username goes green. On the strength of that alone I was clearly a great leader. I also got to indulge in a small amount of censor ickleery, and on one occasion waste our dear Dante’s time with some thread-title-changing.
The 667er: You live in Australia.
Lemona: Correct.
The 667er: Do you like it?
Lemona: Yes, more or less. I'm extremely fond of my home city Melbourne specifically, more so than of the overall country.
The 667er: What unique perspective do you bring to 667 as an Australian?
Lemona: As for perspective, come talk to me about yeast extracts spreads and you'll see.
The 667er: I do not know how old you are exactly.
Lemona: Good, because that's for me to know and everyone else to, er, not know.
The 667er: Are you working? Going to school? What do you do on a day-to-day basis?
Lemona: I'm studying at uni part time and working part time, only I'm not studying at all at the moment because of summer break.
The 667er: Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10? 20?
Lemona: In a job interview somewhere being asked this exact question.
The 667er: What sorts of things do you like to do in your spare time?
Lemona: Write, cook, complain, aimlessly ride public transport as cheaply as possible and consume a lot of various entertainments. The last three are my techniques for shutting my mind up. I also like to travel properly when I can afford it, and at the moment a lot of my spare time is being used for one of two projects; my advent calendar contribution plug plug, and an entry into Brooklyn Art Library’s Sketchbook Project 2017.
The 667er: What is your favorite television show? Why?
Lemona: Urrgh I’m the worst tv watcher in the world, meaning I can practically never commit to a show. I’m a movie person. Dunno if I would necessarily say it’s my favourite, but recently when uni was stressing me I rewatched the first two seasons of The Adventures of Pete and Pete and it was even better than I had remembered and you should all see it if you haven’t. (Third season isn’t crash hot but it’s fine.) Bear and Pepper especially should see it because of one of the people who contributed to the show’s music.
The 667er: Let's talk about your family. Do you have any siblings?
Lemona: Nah, no siblings. I have a ickletonne of cousins however, a few of whom would be cool to have as siblings probably.
The 667er: Any pets?
Lemona: We have a family dog by the name of Cherry, who is 13 years old and still behaves like an excitable puppy. She’s a foxy terrier crossed with jack russell plus some other stuff.
The 667er: I remember you talking about your dad; do you live with him?
Lemona: I do indeed live with my dad, who is currently napping in the room with me and being disturbed by the keyboard noises. He could always move to a different room but no.
The 667er: What is your favorite color? Why?
Lemona: Everything in this unedited colour wheel. Purple is probably my number one favourite though. I have purple bedroom walls because I’m a child. Idk it’s regal or something right?
The 667er: You joined 667 just about 7 years ago - December 4 2009 according to proboards.
Lemona: Oh man, today’s my 7th anniversary. (The day I’m writing, not the day of publication.)
The 667er: How has 667 changed in the years you've been around?
Lemona: We got a user-unfriendly shoutbox boo hiss and Emma left boo hiss. We also went through a 2012-2015 non-wilderness period with ATWQ which was nice.
The 667er: How has it stayed the same?
Lemona: It has stayed a baffling place.
The 667er: What is your favorite thing about 667?
Lemona: My favourite things about it are some of the people I’ve gotten to know and forced to put up with my company. *suavely* You know who you are. Another favourite thing is the 667er, and a close third is Linda’s glorious Rocky Horror adaptation, which has been an awful lot of fun.
The 667er: Least favorite thing?
Lemona: Least favourite part is I guess unwarranted (to me) arguing and drama etc. But unwarranted is a matter of opinion and it’s usually easy to ignore so I’m not too fussed.
The 667er: Is there anything you have learned that you might not have learned if you had not joined 667?
Lemona: Never refuse a breath mint. If 667 hadn’t existed DH wouldn’t have had the chance to impart that.
The 667er: And finally, is there anything we haven't covered yet that you would like to tell the people of 667?
Lemona: Thanks for helping me take my mind off things periodically; eat your vegetables; don’t try to fit a whole pencil into a knot in a wooden table like I did about 10 minutes ago while procrastinating finishing this interview.
