To Daniel Handler From The official favorite member of 667, peppermince.
Originally I was going to write a column about Club Penguin, but it was hard, so instead I’m going to look at my old Moshi Monsters PMs.
If you’re too old to know what Moshi Monsters is, Wikipedia calls it “a British website aimed at children aged 5–12 with over 100 million registered users” that where “Users choose from one of six virtual pet monsters they can create, name and nurture” and can “communicate with other users in a safe environment (most the time)”.
I spent so much time on Moshi Monsters as a child, less than I did on Club Penguin but more than I have on 667. It used to be my only form of communication with my friends. We would use the ‘pinboard’, a place where people could leave comments about your room, to have full conversations. Only the messages people sent me still exist, but I’m sure there is still some gold in there somewhere. I have lost my details, but I got my brother to log on and read my messages. Here are the best ones from 2010-12.

Most of these messages were sent during class in grade 4, the year we got a Macbook each and the year I realised that teachers couldn’t care less whether or not you do your work as long as they are getting paid. As you can see from the messages, our school was like a soap opera, we spent a lot of time passing notes and getting into petty arguments. It was a better time and it was fun to look back.
