I found this image on IMDB and I can't seem to place it with any scene from the Reptile Room.

Looks like a promotional still. I feel like I did see this set in the episode, though, with Snicket in it, narrating... can't be bothered to find it, though. I'd guess during the scenes right before Stephano runs into the maze.

Saw this a while ago. It's definitely the front of Uncle Monty's house in the 'present', but that wasn't shown in any of the episodes. So it does seem likely that it's part of a deleted scene.
Another theory is that perhaps they filmed it for a later season. It would make sense to film that now if they knew they'd need it later on rather than rebuilding an entire set. But it's hard to say if they were so well planned that they'd know enough to film something that far in advance.

Monty's house could well appear in season 3 [TSS] in Quigley's flashback to when he was living there with Jacques (assuming that storyline is relatively unchanged) - I don't know much about the logistics of television production but I'd be very impressed if they filmed anything relating to that in season 1. A deleted scene might be a more likely explanation but it is a less fun one.

As long as we're talking about deleted scenes: what about that one random shot of a rat, inside what appears to be a makeshift trap made from the pile of rocks and a cloth, in TBB part one? I'm pretty sure that must be from some cut sequence. It's an odd shot I admit, but I think it's placement is symbolic. The Baudelaire's appeased it so that tehy could peacefully coexist, exactly in the same way they were dealing with Olaf. So, I don't think anyway was deleted, I just think it was inserted to hammer home what was happening. Another theory is that perhaps they filmed it for a later season. I mean that's kind of a big part of Quigley's story and in this shot the house looks merely abandoned, not burnt. So perhaps they realized they had made a continuity mistake and just deleted it.

I just assumed the Baudelaires had used what they had to trap the rat there, but it's definitely odd.
