I have failed at being a member of this forum recently, which includes failing at organising an advent calendar. Let's fail at this together! Every day, someone just posts something here without putting any effort in. Just post your salsa in this thread.

i meant to draw santa but i accidentally drew satan. this is actually convenient because satan is a prominent character in my fic. that's why he's always telling people to read it.

instead of giving actual presents i'm going to give virtual gifts to 667ers.
Here's some virtual chocolate for someone, whoever wants it

Today is 12/12, that one day of the month which Europeans and Americans can generally agree about. In celebration, here's a song that mashes up English and my own native language.

Over Thanksgiving, one of my sisters mentioned a story I told them about Lemony Snicket, how he warned people not to raise up their arms or it would leave their armpit exposed to crocodile bite and subsequent infection and death. I immediately recognized this as part of the material Handler/Snicket used during his 2006 book tour for The End (multiple sources posting at 667 at the time confirmed that he told it at, if not all than at least most of the book signings that year) and so told the two of them this. Apparently this was a big shock to them as, having been 8 and 10 years old at the time, they thought this was a story I had invented for their amusement, rather than one I read online and subsequently told them, and they had spent over half their lives believing this incorrect information. What does this have to do with Christmas? Very little, admittedly, except for the part where something we are told as children ends up not being true and often ends up being quite traumatic once we learn the truth of the matter. I am of course talking about mistletoe. This is not in fact mistletoe, but holly: THIS is what mistletoe actually looks like: JK those are pictures of my cat Max, here is holly and mistletoe.
