Could the children's TV Series: Lazytown have any connection to V.F.D., If not an outright production? There are VFD-made movies so a VFD-made TV show shouldn't be beyond the possibility in Snicketland.
My reason for this is because the villain, Robbie Rotten is similar to Count Olaf. Both are masters of disguises, which fool everyone even though such disguises in real life are very transparent. Both also think highly of themselves and come up with semi-smart plans. This is also why Robbie is my profile picture.
Sure Robbie is less evil than Olaf, since Robbie never killed anyone, but still, What are your thoughts about the connections between Lazytown and VFD?

Hahahaha it amuses me that we have a new member with a Robbie Rotten avatar and a few days after your joining, we have a thread starting with "Could the children's TV Series: Lazytown have any connection to V.F.D.", like you've been biding your time to ask this question burning on your mind.

Do they do much reading on Lazytown, though? I understood it to be a show more about physical activity and sports than about writing essays on world peace.

Perhaps it is meant as outreach to people who don't share the literary interests of the typical volunteer?
Or perhaps it is the result of one of the sub-schisms, produced by a faction which is still noble, but less studious than the mainstream group.

There was that song from Lazytown that became a meme - if I remember right, it features Sportacus eating an apple and suddenly becoming strong enough to escape from the cage he was trapped in. Obviously, the show is conditioning its viewers to eat sour apples and protect themselves from the Medusoid Mycelium.

I just wondered: Do you think Robbie's underground lair has some reference to the secret passageways?
Also, the fact that all but three of the residents are portrayed as puppets. I wonder if there is any significance to that.

Ok, so I've never heard of this show (I was a 90s PBS kid, no Nickelodeon and it looks like this series aired during my high school/college years). I'm watching some episodes on youtube right now and I cannot un-see Robbie as an Olaf parody. With some tweaks I can see this show being a weird V.F.D. children's program, maybe throw in some Sebald Code and literary allusions for good measure lol.

Also, the fact that all but three of the residents are portrayed as puppets. I wonder if there is any significance to that. That's a bad sign; the man with a beard but no hair and the woman with hair but no beard are notorious for their love of fingerpuppets, and rumour has it that an early draft of the ASoUE movie had the TRR section and ending acted out by puppets under the control of - Count Olaf. Could this be linked to Mr. Rotten's status as one of the show's few humans...?

Well I didn't immediately make the Robbie avatar. I created some threads before that
