Just pointing out that the bald man has “E” and “S” tattood on his fingers. I’m guessing he got “Esme”.

Where do you guys find these photos? Reddit? They've been leaking onto the various social media accounts of people who got sent early copies of the book.

Not gonna lie: love absolutely everything except changing those Concierge outfits to green. Not to say they don't look good, I just really had my heart on seeing those bright red outfits on screen.

I didn't realise so many people were so hooked on the red outfits! I find the green far more exciting.
It's also interesting how dark-skinned Ishmael looks, considering he's played by Peter Macnicol. I'm assuming he's just very tanned...

That and the fact that it's a zoomed in, low-quality picture of a picture, which has undoubtedly messed up the original image's gamma correction and contrast at least a little bit.

I'm surprised that eyebrows are being raised at the Denouement uniforms being changed to green; I don't recall anyone expressing similar opinions about the Prufrock uniforms being changed in the opposite direction. Personally, to me it's a breath of fresh air to finally see something green at all, after the red uniforms in Prufrock and on the Queequeg, and there's nowhere that that's more appropriate than the Hotel Denouement.

Hmm. Is Sunny not being sealed in a diving helmet going to cause problems with the Medusoid Mycelium story arc? I have wondered if that element of TGG would actually be too upsetting(!) and/or difficult to realise onscreen...

It's funny you mention the Prufrock uniforms- I had rather hoped they might have the green and yellow sailor look!

I have wondered if that element of TGG would actually be too upsetting(!) and/or difficult to realise onscreen... Good question, but I don't think it would make a difference; Sunny would just remain sealed in her entire suit rather than in the diving helmet. It'd be less visually entertaining, and perhaps a little more cumbersome and awkward-looking for the Baudelaires to be carrying her around, but I'm not sure I see a way around it, or that it would make any substantial change. I mean, even darker to just dump her on the Queequeg for the duration of their Carmelita capture.

I've got to say, I think the green uniforms look absolutely gorgeous. It's funny; this is one of those instances where the cover illustration has just really powerfully worked its way into (it seems) many of our imaginations. It hadn't occurred to me until I saw these pictures that the uniforms are never actually given a colour in the text, and now they've been depicted as something other than red, I'm really happy because I love the green and, as others have said, it's very suitable to V.F.D.
Interesting that they changed the island robes, though. I wonder if that was so that there was greater contrast between the characters & the island sand ... Visually, it might work better than the pure white robes of the books, which, after all, were meant to match the sand.

I really, really like the green uniforms, to be honest. The red ones on the covers are great, but I like how different the green ones look.

I’m wondering about this pic of Anwhistle Aquatics... Are those glowing little things the Medusoid Mycelium? Because it looks great!!! Much more impressive than I imagined...!
