So a while ago I shared my papier-mâché Queequeg helmet and people were really nice about it so I thought I'd share something I made in a similar vein a few days ago. I'm going down to the London premiere of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald next Tuesday. I don't have tickets for it -- I'll just be one of the people getting very excited because J.K. Rowling will be there (!!!!) and generally going through a right of passage because despite loving Harry Potter since before I can remember, I've never yet been able to go to on of the premieres. So, as it's such a big thing for me, I thought I ought to really make an effort to create something special. SO, I decided I'd create a papier-mâché book-box. I've made one of these before, years ago (a copy of Hogwarts: A History), which I've used for years whenever I dress up for HP. I always dress up as Hermione because she's my favourite, so it follows that I should have a book as part of my costume. Anyway, as I say, I've been carrying my Hogwarts: A History around for years and I felt it was time for a new creation. And as this is for Fantastic Beasts, I decided to make a special copy of FBAWTFT. It took several days of work, and I'm really happy with the result!

Thank you! I don't know if anyone's called my creations 'dope' before. What a very pleasant new experience. 😊

I love those colorful circles you put all over the cover. What nice touches! What are they? The entire thing is lovely!
