So, I'm supposed to believe Aunt Josephine totally forgot about her best friend, Julio Sham, who she met in Baking Class who she had promise to raise her children if she ever killed herself... until he happens to show up later at the exact point in time she has children and kills herself? Huh, very convenient. Either Captain Sham is lying or Mr. Snicket is just making this crap up as he goes along.
To be fair it may be the former, I don't read this garbage. I skim it just enough so that I can complain about it on Internet forums.

Lighting a fire with moonlight on a wet sailcloth. This becomes even more unbelievable when you add in an airplane happening to fly overhead to further refract the light.

Few months late on this, but surprised nobody mentioned Mr. Poe randomly standing up to Olaf in the last couple chapters.
