Hey Quisby, I am so sorry to hear about your friend and the very difficult time you are going through. I've never known anyone who committed suicide, and I cannot imagine how heart-broken you must feel. I think it's really neat how you shared the books and TV show with your friend and had discussions about the differences with him. (All I can tell you about Netflix is that after a long time, if you don't keep watching, eventually those suggestions do go away I'm sorry you keep getting that sad reminder.) Everyone experiences grief differently. Don't give yourself a hard time if you don't handle your grief like the Baudelaires because 1) they are fictional characters & 2) they were trying to survive a ruthless villain and really did not get much time for grieving. The way you compared the series to grief is absolutely beautiful. I have never thought of that before; you have made a very profound connection there. Again, I am so sorry you lost your friend.
