Walking around at night, I found this letter in the street... “Dear Dairy, A long, long time ago, my grandfather gave me a small, wooden box that he received from his great-grandfather, instructing me to give this box and its contents to my grandchildren, but I don't expect I shall have children, what with my rash and all. Inside this box was a small, silver key that opened up another small, wooden box that my third cousin four times removed or fourth cousin three times removed gave me. Inside that second small, wooden box was a slip of paper that had a single website on it: www.geocities.com/vfdonline/index.htmlHe instructed me that it was the website for some secret organization that he was part of, and that I was to never, ever under any circumstances share it with anyone. However, I could not keep such a grave secret to myself. I, personally, do not quite understand this mysterious website, but I hope that by sharing it with you, my dear cheesemakers, you could help me understand. But despite all this, please DO NOT, under ANY circumstances post this online on some type of Series of Unfortunate Events fan forum, especially 667 D – “ the letter was illegible at this point due to tear stains.

It looks interesting. I like the way the Ivan Lachrymose excerpt seems like it could really be a chapter in the book.

Thanks I hope you guys got the code in the letter For those of you who is wondering what this site is, it will sort of be like The Nameless Novel, but not clues for a future book. It will be clues explaining VFD's history, other fires, stuff that probably will never be explained in the books.

Who made this site? Is it legitimate? I doubt it.

Of course it's not legitimate. It's just some more mysteries to solve after The Nameless Novel is over, stuff that probably will never appear in the books. But thanks for the point, incase anyone is thinking that this is some real website authorized by Lemony Snicket or the like, it's not.

Who made this site? Is it legitimate? I doubt it. Everyone asks too many questions nowadays.

I just have one complaint. The rain is annoying. Rain? Hmmm. Are you sure there's rain on my website? If so, I'm not sure why it's there. Does anyone else see rain?

VFD Online is now up! Until October 8th (and the first clue) rolls around, explore the site. If you've got any suggestions, comments, questions, snide remarks, monologues, tirades, asides, or a lengthy editorial on the national debt, I'd love to hear it! Thanks for your support. Here's the adress: www.geocities.com/vfdonline/index.html
