Does anyone know where I can find the originals of these posters? I would love to print them for my students and see if they can figure out what country they came from.

Hey! Great ideia to post all the international posters we can find. I like to know what's A Series of Unfortunate Events in other languages. x) Well, as you all know, I'm from Brazil and I have a blog about ASOUE. It's: Unfortunate Events - BR [yes, in Portuguese] I don't know if that's what you meant by saying 'international sites', but here's my "suggestion". I hope I could help it.

GermanyI found the United International Pictures website. If you click on International, it will give a listing of countries with web sites. www.uip.com/

why does it not say captain sham.... look at the bottom left... it says captain sam..... Bottom-right, actually. And in the movie, it's basically implied that it was originally Captain Sam's, but then Olaf took it over and added in the H. There's an H scribbled between the S and the A nearly everywhere you see the name.

Also, "SHAM" is another word for con, so it's probably also an inside joke.

If you go to IMDB.com's Lemony Snicket section, you can see that Wayne Flemming .... Captain Sam. My guess is that the children where originally going to meet Captain Sam first, then later by Olaf as Sham, also because of the same outfit, but different body shapes. Here is a picture to why I think that:
