I don't think I've seen this interview listed here before. Forgive me if it has. Daniel Handler was very "un-Lemony" in this interview and he gave some insights I haven't heard from him before. Link

That was a fascinating interview.
Anyone else notice that we can't debate about who burned the mansion/killed the parents anymore? He said. "because your parents have been killed by the maniac who's after the fortune they left behind". As well as more to suggest a second movie.

I haven't explored the international market with professionalism, but I have received a link to a recent Lemony Snicket podcast concerning The Lump of Coal which is rather good. It's Episode 12 on the following page: HarperChildren's PodcastsThere are plenty of other decent or big-name authors represented and to be represented, such as Neil Gaiman, Frances Hardinge, R.L. Stine, and so on.
