They want to kick Pluto out of the solar system! I love that planet! He's so cute and heterogeneous and methane-ice-composedish!
Mildew, fungi, lichen, mold! Don't leave Pluto in the cold!
Please no Pluto bashing in this thread.
NOTE: This isn't a joke. I know it's a stupid thread, but its something I feel really strongly about, it just sounds stupid because I'm a moron. But someone has to stand up for the little guy!

What about all the mnemonics? My Very Excellent Mother Just Sent Us Nine... what?
Won't somebody think of the mnemonics?!

That's the spirit!
Yes, the mnemonics would be horribly butchered!

I heard about that. It makes me sad too. Pluto is my second favourite planet, yes, PLANET.

Actually, it's opposite. They're keeping Pluto, adding Ceres (from the asteroid belt), a newly-discovered planet outside pluto's orbit, AND pluto's moon, Charon.
[Edit] Source is the New Scientist, i'll find the article if you pay me to care.

If that isn't enough you're unbelievably stubborn we'll throw in some headless barbies and cat food.
Because that's all I have.

I for one think that Pluto shouldn't be considered a planet. For one thing, its orbit is so wierd that it is at some times, 17 degrees off the regular axis and for a while is inside Neptune's orbit. Its just another kuiper belt object. If you want to count everything that is round and orbits the sun, then we have hundreds of planets and will never discover all of them.
Edit: I just checked the news and Pluto isn't a Planet anymore!

Under this new definition wouldn't Ceres and Xena both be planets? I know that Pluto crosses paths with Uranus but I don't think Ceres does and Xena doesn't either.

Ever since fifth grade, I've been calling pluto not a planet.
My Very Elegant Mother Just Served Us Noodles.
Simple, guys.
