The THH cover is my favourite. it's so...I dunno. I just really like it. TWW is a very close second. I love how Violet looks.

I'd say the THH cover, by far. It's simple and yet sophisticated enough to be interesting. It's mysterious, what with seeing Klaus together with Lucafont and Flacutono in disguise but doesn't reveal too much. Also, you don't have to endure any lame close-ups like the cover of TMM but it's not busy like the covers of TAA and TCC. Just my opinion.

TBB-US TRR-UK(They have a similar picture, but the UK one is more 3D-looking) TWW-US TMM-both(neither cover is particularly great) TAA-US TEE-UK(both have a good perspective, but the UK one is cooler because the Baudelaires are falling) TVV-both(they're pretty much the same) THH-UK TCC-UK TSS-both TGG-US

See, personally I think that the UK cover is plain and somewhat against the style of the series. The lions, though - they look amazing. In short, if I'd never come across the series, and I saw the two covers next to each other and thought they were different books, I'd buy the American one.

I guess the whole idea of a carnival didn't really seem to go with the rest of the series. But I'll always prefer the lions.

I voted for TCC, because I think that even though it doesn't capture the spirit of the whole book, it captures the spirit of the moment the picture is showing. It emphasizes that the Baudelaires are in danger, with an almost savage crowd wanting them thrown into the pit.

The US TCC cover is a bit incongruous because it doesn't have any of the Baudelaires clearly visible. Those are really awesome lions, though.

I think that TCC was the best of the US editions. On comparing the different versions:
TBB: US. Olaf's head is too big in the UK edition. TRR: There's no difference, really. TWW: US. I like Violet's expression. TMM: UK. Violet is sloppily drawn in the US version. TAA: UK. Carmelita! TEE: UK. Even though it gave it away. TVV: They're the same. THH: US. TCC: US. I love those lions. TSS: UK. TGG: UK. But only because it shows the Queequeg.
If was to be based on the spines, though, UK would win hands down.
