Coco Chef, please stay on topic; offtopic chatting is discouraged in these sections.
I can't remember if I've commented on this thread before, but I think a lot of the places in ASoUE qualify as "nice to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there".

Yes, Coco Chef. There is no better home than the charred remains of a once glorious masion.

Indeed. But Hector's house is good too. Meh. I'm just a fan of all the animals.

I always found Anunt Jo's house imaginitive. I'd like to go to Lachrymose, or the Quagmire Mansion...

Prufrock Prep was probably the most interestingly designed, with the tombstone theme, although I also enjoyed Heimlich Hospital, because it reminds me of the various crappy schools I've attended that didn't bother finishing construction on anything.
If I had to pick a favorite, though, I'd say Hotel Denouement was the most interesting idea.

I've only read up to book 9 (10's sold out.) but out of those ones my favorite was probably the penthouse.

667 Dark Avenue.I love the idea of an impossibly large, luxurious penthouse apartment, and the whole 'in' and 'out' absurdity.I wish I got to live there.^^

I absolutly loved Monty's house but I also liked Hector's place because he actually had a library that wasn't about just one topic and he had all those tools that Violet could use in her inventions.

Good choice, csc. It makes me realise that, were the town of V.F.D. a much different place, the Baudelaires could've lived happily there with Hector for many years.

My opinion won't surprise anyone who knows me well. Caligari Carnival, Hinterlands!
