I dunno, how would they explain how the sequel begins? If anyone remembers at the end of the movie Count Olaf DID NOT escape. He was captured and then forced to experience every hardship the Baudelaires had to experience. It was a very closed ending. So how will they open it up for a sequel?

After the Olaf sequence where he did all the things the Baudelaires suffered through, the narrator was all, "If only life were so fair" or something and went on to explain that Olaf eluded authorities. It was confusing the way they did that, though. I bet a lot of people thought the same thing you did...

One thing I also wonder is who's going to be Count Olaf in the Second movie? If anyone has noticed, Jim Carrey doesn't do sequels. He didn't do a sequel to The Mask, or to Dumb and Dumber

He didn't do a sequel to The Mask, or to Dumb and Dumber what about Ace Ventura or, it doesn't really count, but he was in Batman forever. and this is really the only movie he's done where there was more than likely going to be a sequal. he also said that he didn't do sequals because he likes to try new stuff, with count Olafs disguises i think he will be happy

I want to be Carmelita Spats in that movie. My mom said they put the books slightly out of order for movie making purposes though, I guess she was right.

I don't think their is going to be a sequel. But anyway, I think the next movie should have the Austere Academy & The Ersatz Elevator in it.
