That means that in England, there's a special edition of TBB. Everything on the black covers is gold-embossed. The cover has a big arch-shaped hole in it, and on the page the hole is showing, a picture of Olaf pondering as the three Bauldelaires arrive at his gateway.
Nothing special, other than a full-colour illustration on one of the pages, slightly larger text, or the fact that the back is blank.

What? your american and your getting our version , The reason the american books are so crap is that they are released alot early and they don't take there time to make the books look good. In your rare edition the blurb is glued onto the box, It peels off, I did it to my sisters copy! and it does!

the English special edition isn't very gud...I haven't looked inside it yet, so i can't say bout the content..but the cover is rubbish..it's just black and big..lol...they sell it in loadsa different shop (Allans, WH Smith, Waterstones..etc.)
I didn't buy it as I thought it was exactly the same...next time I'm in a book shop though.. I'll have a flick through!
oh and btw, following ur argument, what is up with the American book's pages being all frayed? I got book 8 and 9 from the Belz Outlet Mall on International Drive and I thought it was just cuz it was from an Outlet centre...but when I got book 10 from Amazon, it was the same..what is up with that?

Annabelle has been made a prefect on a Hogwarts site recently and she had to type that. She is over at my house right now and she is an ASOUE fan and hates Quigley.
