I was re-reading TBB and noticed quite a few odd things...like were the Baudelaires had to put there clothes while living in Olafs house. A box which had held a Refridgerator. There was more things, but I cant remember this second.

How is this odd?
Lemony Snicket has expressed interest in finding the fridge in which the box belonged to. You are to contact him if you see a refridgerator at any time.

Look, there's a refrigerator in my kitchen! *Contacts Lemony*
Do you think the fridge from the box was the one at VFD headquarters, with the Verbal Fridge Dialogue message? That would explain why Lemony was so interested in finding it.
I have not tracked down the refrigerator in which the Baudelaires found the Verbal Fridge Dialogue, despite stories that it is also in one of the Mortmain Mountain caves, or performing in some of the gloomiest music halls in the city.
So are we dealing with the same fridge?

I also read that bit and thought it... odd But since he didn't think of VFD till TAA It's probably a coincidence.

There is also the "refrigerator of one of my enemies" mentioned in TCC, from which Lemony learned that the enemy in was a vegetarian, or pretending to be one, or had a vegetarian staying with her for a few days.
Olaf and most of his troupe are not vegetarians (they wanted roast beef for dinner), but Esme might be -- at least for some period of time -- if it was "in".

Did it say her? If so then it has got to be Esmé or the sinister woman. They're the only female villains we know about. I think it's probably Esmé. Lemony proably looked in her fridge when he was stealing the sugar bowl.

The quote is on Page 36 of TCC, and it says "she". This vegetarian, or person visited by one, was probably Esme; however, sugar bowls aren't usually kept in fridges. Mine is kept in a kitchen cupboard.

Verbal Fridge Dialogue?
Maybe someone else working for VFD slipped the coded message into the enemy's fridge by rearranging those esoteric items used in the code, knowing that Lemony would find it when he came to investigate, or telling him where it was.

I also read that bit and thought it... odd But since he didn't think of VFD till TAA It's probably a coincidence. just because VFD didnt show up untill AA doesnt mean that he didnt think of it already. he had to have planned out the entire plot before even starting TBB or else alot of things wouldnt have worked out in the end.

Of course, since he only originally planned to do four books, because he didn't think they'd sell...

How could Esme be a vegetarian? Doesnt she eat Salmon from Cafe Salmonella? We dont actually witness her eat meat, but she does rave about that "in" restaurant (whos speciality is salmon) non-stop.

There are some vegetarians who can eat white meat. Yeah, the technical term for those is "hypocrites."

Yeah, the technical term for those is "hypocrites." Too true. Vegetarians do not eat flesh foods. Ever.
