In my (hardcover, American) copy of TRR, there is a mistake in the inside cover. Where there should be a little picture of Olaf in his Stefano disguise, instead there is a picture of Olaf as...Coach Genghis? The exact same picture from that same page in TAA. Does anybody else's book have that problem. Do you think it's accidental?

It's accidental. I recall reading a thread a while back where people talked about their books having similar mistakes.

In the slippery slope when Klaus is researching, it says "there was one faint word." "sugar bowl" Now I might be brain dead, but i think that is two words.
Also, when they look at the arch, it says "there were four tiny words there. The world is quiet here. That's five words.

Hmmm...I dedicate this thread into a new "What Mistakes Did You Notice" type thread. Since I don't remember the old one at all.
In my UA, in the Vinyard letter to Jerome, it says "white makes the place looks fantastic, in our opinion"

But "What Mistakes Did You Notice" wasn't the point of this thread at all. I just wanted to know if others had the mistake and if it was just a printing error. Since it's now obsolete you may as well just delete it instead of changing its purpose...

Viola Miranda, how is that a mistake? Lemony's letter was supposed to be a message, but Jerome's wasn't.

It says "makes the place looks fantastic" which is a grammatical error.
And Brian, I retract my "What Mistakes Did You Notice Idea."

And Brian, I retract my "What Mistakes Did You Notice Idea." I'd hold onto it myself...

Oh. I didn't see that.
I just realized that the paperback books don't have an Ex Libris...at least my Hostile Hospital doesn't.

Also, when they look at the arch, it says "there were four tiny words there. The world is quiet here. That's five words. Once again, if you drop the "is", it will be "The world quiet here" because the "is" is of no importance, in that case.

Once again, if you drop the "is", it will be "The world quiet here" because the "is" is of no importance, in that case. By that logic, you could also argue against including "The." It's a mistake, guys. They happen. Accept it.

(laughs maniacally and grabs magnifing glass and scans all mistakes) Anyways, a mistake thread would go in SS. Also, a classmate of mine once received a notebook with two front covers. These things happen.

It may be. Lets see how far you get until you give up. Cracking Lemony Snicket's codes could be very difficult.
