"Wow. That's a lot of important stuff. So, where are we heading now? I thought that we were going to the place where the Baudelaires or Quagmires are. I don't know why, I just thought that. Do you know where they are now?" "I think they are at 667 dark avenue, the last time I heard about 'em," Julio said. "but they could just be at Pluto, for all I know." We all shared a feeble laugh. "Right," I said. "I'm going to need to catch up on what they're doing. I also need to talk to them, but I have no doubt they would have moved on to somewhere else. Did you see this?" i held up a leaflet with the aphorism, "it takes a village toraise a child" printe don it in fancy script, and pointed at the name VFD. "Do you think these are our fellow volunteers, villians, or someone else?" "Someone else," everyone said. "So what if the Baudelaires go there? What will happen when they find out?"

Julio looked at the clipping and said, "Hmmm, you say Dewey told you to find it?" I replied, "In the letter, yes," He responded, "Show me the note." I gave him the note.

"Okay," Jacques said, "I think we should split up. J.B., Kit, and Julio should go to the Hotel Preludio and find the secret. Me and my brother Lemony will search for the whereabouts of the Baudelaires." I give J.B. the sugar bowl and the letter I found in the underwater catalog.

So me and Lemony step off the raft onto Briny Beach. Kit steered the raft towards the north, where the Hotel Preludio waited on the Northern Coast of the city.

"Last time?" I asked, "What are you talking about?" Lemony said, "Well, the last time I heard from volunteers who were searching for them is that they escaped the destruction of the Hotel Denouement with Count Olaf, pushing a sailboat off the rooftop sunbathing salon, using a drag chute. They could be anywhere now: sailing the seas in the boat with Olaf, on a mysterious island which has forbidden fruit, or in Scotland, as far as I did my research on the Baudelaires, they found out a terrible secret and are headed for Scotland right now, and I'll hazard a complete deduction that Count Olaf isn't even with them, as I saw a man with a unibrow and a tattoo of an eye on his ankle step out of a taxi while I was stepping onto the raft."

A new volunteer has just joined the V.F.D. RPG!
Display Name: Free Eagle Volunteer Name: Beatrice
Meanwhile, Beatrice was headed toward a dilapidated home in narrow alley lined with houses. The bricks were stained with soot and grime. There were only two small windows which were closed with the shades drawn even though it was a nice day. Rising above the windows was a tall and dirty tower that tilted slightly to the left. The front door needed to be repainted, and carved in the middle of it was an image of an eye. The entire building sagged slightly to the side, like a crooked tooth. Beatrice didn't bother knocking. She opened the door and slid inside.

Me and Lemony steered the boat onto the coast of an island. Birds fluttered nearby. "Lemony," I asked, "What is this place?" He replied, "I don't know." I then spotted a dug-up hole. "Look, Lemony, I found something!" "Where?!" "Here!" We made over to the hole, took out the suitcase and opened it. There were several files inside:
Denouement, Poe, Quagmire, Winnipeg, Quagmire, Snicket, sugar bowl.

The house was empty, but Beatrice didn't know how much time she had. She had to find the evidence that would incriminate Olaf and clear Lemony's name. She knew now that Lemony hadn't committed that awful crime. If there was evidence, she knew it would be in the tower. She came to the door and struggled with the handle. It was locked. Of course.

Just then, I heard a strike of a match, and saw a flame wooshing up. I dropped the suitcase, and called out to Lemony, "Hurry! Back on the boat!" We climbed on the boat, took to sea, sailed west for countless miles, and came to the shore of Briny Beach. When we stepped off the boat, Lemony said, "We have to find Beatrice. She's At Count Olaf's house. And so we traveled to Olaf's house to find Beatrice. When we got there, the door was open, and we heard someone walking around inside. "Beatrice!" we both called out, and went inside the dilapidated house of the Count. We found Beatrice at the top of some scraggly-looking stairs. "Beatrice, how are you?" I asked. "Fine. Lemony! You are in terrible danger! Jacques, get that tower door open." she said. Lemony replied, "I've been here before."
