'Fine. Found out anything interesting yet?' he called back to her. Carmelita was occupying herself with modelling in front of a mirror.
'I've only been here ten minutes. Give me a chance.'
'If you miss those damn crows--'
'I won't. I promise. Anyway, I'll be back out once I've unpacked all of my clothes.'
Olaf groaned. 'How long's that going to take?'
Silence.
'Countie,' the whiny child's voice was back. 'Would you like to hear my new song?'

Violet was staring out the window looking up at the strange hotel. She was positive she saw a person wearing a rather strange garment, similar to a bikini. Sadly, she was going to be proven to be right. She turned to Kit Snicket.
"Kit?"

Dewey paced around the hallway catalogs underneath the lake and cast a worried glance to the ceiling. He'd heard Frank report that Olaf, Esme, and his henchman where there, though he he mentioned that "Lucafont" wasn't there anymore.
He heard a taxi screech and wondered if the meeting he'd scheduled with L.S. had been rearranged, as he wasn't expected to be here until midnight. The the occupants came out of the car, one by one, with Dewey becoming more surprised each time.
Is that Violet Baudelaire he wondred, no it can't---and that's Klaus---and sunny? They even got the baby recruited over here! Wait a minute? He gasped. Is that who I think it is!?
It was! It was Kit SNicket. The same Kiyt Snicket whom Dewey hadn't seen in ten years. She was here and she had brought the Baudelaires. This was great.
No he though as a new sinister feeling overshadowed his lighter one. It was bad. If Olaf or Esme found out she was here.......it would be like...
Well, he certainly wasn't going to let happen to Kit what happened to Beatrice. He would have to intercept somehow. He had hoped to just lay back and discuss the catalog with L.S. and then submit it to the trial on Thursday. But that wasn't going to happen. With Kit and the Baudelaires here, the stakes were far too high. He was going to have to take evasive action.

'What about JS?'
It was unusual to use a code name when not in public, but Olaf nodded sharply at the child and ridiculous as it was, she obeyed him.
'What about...them?' he decided, glancing again at Carmelita and checking behind one of the front doors.
'There's no one there, for heaven's sake.'
She was still unpacking, infuriatingly slowly and she knew it would be only a matter of time before it was necessary for her to duck a flying coat hanger in her direction.
'It is important we aren't caught.'
'That door's hardly likely to report us to anyone though, is it?'
He despaired, sometimes. Most of the time, it seemed, of his idiot accomplices.

Dewey raced upstairs. He had to get that harpoon gun out from the desk. If Ernest was in charge he would gladly give it to Olaf or one of his associates.
He ran across into the laundry room, where Frank was doing laundry for a banker in room 174.
"Frank," he asked.
"Yes, Ern--Dewey!" Frank gasped. "What the hell are you doing, you're supposed to stay hidden?"
"You know about that harpoon gun under the desk?"
"Yes."
"Keep Ernest away from there. If he's left in charge and Olaf or one of his associates come--"
"They'll get the gun. Yes, I know. Don't worry, the BAudelaires just arrived."
"But you can't give to them either. People will get suspicious becuase they think they're supposed to be concierges!"
"They might get sent by one of the villains to retrive it for them."
"Have you gone mad, that's no--" Dewey thought for a second, "Wait, I see where you're going, and you're right. If one of them does ask for it, give it to him/her. The Baudelaires are to intelligent to just simply hand it over to them."
"Exactly!" Frank said. "I'll make sure it falls into the right hands."
"And give her a signal, so that she'll know not to take it to them."
"Will do."
"Thank you."

Esme sighed and looked at her different suitcases. "There's one missing." she said.
"Who cares? As if you don't already have enough!" Olaf yelled.
"But it was the one with my yellow sweater-" she started to whine.
"Go. Up. To. The. Roof" Olaf said slowly pushing her out the door of the suite.
"Olaf! I have better things to do." She said in protest.
"No, you don't. Think of your tan. "

Can I be Frank and/or Ernest?
If so, then:
Frank finished doing the laundry and took an elevator to the 5th floor. He walked as his drinking-straw sized legs could take him to the desk in Room 689, and took the gun out. He walked with it back to the elevator which took him down to the lobby. He saw many guests milling about, probably wondering why a manager would hold a harpoon gun in the middle of the lobby. He saw Ernest slink towards the concierge table, watching him. Frank finally found the closet he would lock the gun in. He turned the key, opened the door, placed the gun inside, and locked it once more. After that was done, Frank witnessed three concierges entering the hotel. Seeing that these were the ones that one of his associates had told him about, he prepared to meet them.

I'll put them in this scene.
IC:
Ernest Denouement saw three concierges step toward the concierge desk, where Frank was rushig to reach them.
“You must be the new concierges,” he heard Frank say, “Welcome to the Hotel Denouement. I'm one of the managers.”
Ernest glared at his identical twin brother as he told him about the Hotel and their jobs. Then a bellboy came and said that some luggage arrived in a taxi, and that the guest wouldn't arrive until Thursday. Another volunteer…
Frank then rushed away with the bellboy. The Baudelaires stood conversing for a moment when Ernest finally came up to them.
“You must be the new concierges,” Ernest said, “Welcome to the Hotel Denouement.”
The one he knew to be Violet Baudelaire replied, “You must be Ernest.”
“Or Frank,” said the one he knew to be Sunny.
“Yes,” Ernest said. “I'm very grateful you three are here. The hotel is quite busy at the moment, and we're expecting more guests to arrive on Thursday. Follow me to the concierge desk, number 175.”
Ernest then commented about how the hotel is a safe place, and on how it isn't.
A bellgirl handed Ernest an edition of The Daily Punctilio.
“Let me see,” said Ernest. “I heard that Geraldine Julienne has written an update on the Baudelaire case.” He showed the Baudelaires the newspaper, but wanted to seem as if he did not know the concierges. Then he went away with the bellgirl to the newsstand room.
Then Frank came back. He told them about the Dewey Decimal System, where they would sleep, if they got any, and theatres.
“Your positions as concierges are excellent opportunities to observe everybody. You wil go unnoticed in crowds and will make excellent flaneurs. Be careful, other impostors will watch you.”
“You're Frank!” said Violet.
“How did you know, concierge?” Frank asked.
“Because you weren't as irritated as Ernest was when he talked to us. And that safe place reference was too sinister for him to be a volunteer.”
“You are absolutely right, Baudelaires. I am Frank Denouement, and you three are in grave danger.”

Kit had left. In a way, Dewey was glad. It was far too dangerous for her to stay here, people would get suspicious.
The Baudelaires would start their jobs today. Hopefully, they could dispose of that harpoon gun he had stolen from Esme handily. If not, then he hoped they wouldn't get caught like Beatrice did.
His meeting with Hal was at two, this after noon. He hoped the BAudelaires wouldn't cross him. They'd been told that only Frank and Ernest were still alive.
From the door, he could see Frank hurrying the Baudelaires upstairs, telling them to keep a low profile and do whatever the guests told them. He had hoped the BAudelaires caught his hinting gesture. If a villain asked for something, especially a harpoon gun, they should talk to him first. He could tell them to get rid of it.
Dewet sighed and opened a hidden elevator door. The shaft was very old, long since having been abandoned. He started his long climb up the cables.

Frank hurried the Baudelaires to the elevators when they had to their work. “Now, if any guest, particularly a villain, asks for a harpoon gun, come see me down at the lobby, and I'll head for the closet and give it to you.” he said.
Violet asked for her siblings. “How will we recognize you?”
Frank sighed, “Your father knew a poem about three blind men and an elephant. It goes like this:
So oft in theologic wars, The disputants I ween, Rail on in utter ignorance, Of what each other mean, And prate about an elephant, Not one of them has seen!”
Sunny smiled while her siblings frowned in contemplation. “John Godfrey Saxe,” she said.
Frank nodded, “Very good. Now when I give you the gun, do not bring it to the villains. Destroy it, or better yet, jam it so it cannot fire when they get it. Good luck, Baudelaires.”
Frank left them to their duties as he hurried to intercept an important message meant for Ernest.

Dewey had climbed up to the sixth floor. For a moment, he breifly noticed a pair of eyes from behind a hole in the wall, but upon rechecking, they were gone. Probably just a reflection of the light seeming in from the holes. He swong to the old door, which was hidden in a cabinet.
"Hal."
"What?"
"It's Dewey."
"Finally, I was wondering if you would even bother showing up at all. It must be 2:00 by now. We have to cut this drastically short, I'm expecting a few guests and a concierge in 15 minutes."
He opened the doors, and Dewey stepped in.
The sugar bowl will make its way to the laundry room tonight." Dewey said. "Until, thursday morning, I want that room off limits to anyone but me."
"I can have Vernacluar lock made in 20 minutes." Hal said.
"Hurry, before they come."
"Okay."

Frank went to the coffee room in Room 178, ordered sugar in his coffee, and was given a secret message concerning the arrival of Count Olaf's many associates, including those villainous High Court Judges, on Thursday. He had to warn Strauss and the other volunteers, including the Baudelaires and Dewey, when the time came. As Frank walked out, Ernest strode in and ordered sugar with his coffee. He never received any message. Ernest furrowed his brow. If Frank has the message, Olaf's plans are ruined! Great, now the Judges’ covers were blown, V.F.D. will hear of it soon…this is not good… Ernest sighed heavily as he drank the coffee with the sugar on his way to the sixth floor for an important matter.

"The bowl will be in the chute soon" Dewey said.
Suddenly, he noticed on the concierges. Sunny.
He rushed over.
"Take this!" he shoved the spider lock into her hands. "Put it on the door of the laundry room as soon as you hear something drop down the shute."
Sunny nodded, confused., and climbed to the elevator.
