Talk about the book and stuff. Share ideas, and "Think outside the box." Hector was in V.F.D., but i think Mr.Poe may have known they were going to go there- he knew that the Baudelaires would not pick any previous areas, and he said they couldn't live in Ophelia.

you have a good point. maybe he sent them to all those other places (excluding Ophelia) just so they'd end up in VFD. who knows though

Yeah, Mr. Poe always sends them to places where VFD has something to do with it, think back: Book 1: Count Olaf. Mr. Poe probably didn't know he was bad because the schism had just started, or just recently happened. Book 2: Uncle Monty Book 3: Aunt Josephine. I don't think Mr. Poe knew Ike was dead, and Ike was in VFD. Book 4: Sir made the green lumber for the Snicket mansions, Baudelaire, and Quagmire. Book 5: Duncan and Isadora are in VFD, and I think Mr. Remora was partly in it, if not all because he "choked on a banana" and quit, letting K who me know is in VFD come in and drag orphans by ankles. Just a thought: Was Quigley one of those orphans? Or were they R and R? Book 6: Esme was in VFD, but the schism confused him, I guess. Book 7: Hector is in VFD, also the city is called VFD. Now you may ask, what about books 8, 9, and 10?? But! Remember when they left book 7? They didn't contact Mr. Poe so they were on their own. AHA!

But in TSS, Count Olaf was told something about before the schism and he says: "Before the schism? Why that was a long time ago."
