Detective Dupin. Olaf's great, always and forever! Olaf's always the best no matter what.

I voted for the couplet mystery. The Jaques thing was pretty good, but with the couplets, you actually had all the clues you needed to figure it out. We still don't even know Jaques' full story.

I still like Jaques...I do wish I knew the whole story though...

Hector. I just get the idea that, well I know that, we'll see him again, along with the Quagmires. Although, when you think about it, he's a little volatile, as in not helping when he should.

Hector was nice, and I liked his connection with the Baudelaires.

I found Jacques really dull. The mob was the most humorous part of the story.

Olaf looked like a pimp! I voted him! His handsomeness was blinding...joking! He gave me nightmares though *looks at Olaf sheepishly* I mean--he made my dreams all happy! *mouths SAVE ME and glances anxiously back at scowling Olaf*

I found Jacques to be the best part. It is how the Snicket story was first tied into the Baudelaire story. I like how the series turns in this book and goes steadily uphill after it.
