What if the second Beatrice is Lemony's niece?

That's not a bad idea; it's likely that, if there are two Beatrices, some of the references to him loving her are bound to overlap between them, so it'd perhaps make sense if he felt affection, for whatever reason, for both of them. (Although it'd depend which of his siblings was the parent of that niece, as if it was Kit's niece then that might well mess up the timeline yet further, although it might also give a good reason why the last word of B13 is "Beatrice.")
Originally I thought the double-Beatrice revelation was both cheap and spoiler-y, but I guess it can be the source of some interesting speculation because we don't know the full meaning of that fact.

In searching Borders.com for information, I noticed an odd snippet in the description of The Beatrice Letters. "One book will show you how it began. The other, how it will end."
Now, they could be referring to The End along with TBL. Or, in the bn.com picture, it looks like two books in TBL. Maybe there are two separate books, one dealing with how it began and one dealing with how things will end.
Just something I thought I would throw out there. There isn't much left to do but speculate all we can until it comes out. Which by the way, is only three weeks from tomorrow!

On LS.com it has been changed to should not. I also find this interesting:
"You shouldn’t read other people’s mail…especially when it is addressed to Lemony Snicket or someone named Beatrice."
it says TO Lemony Snicket implying there is one and SOMEONE NAMED Beatrice implying anyone with that name further going along with the two beatrice thing

The Manager has alerted me to some ebay listing that offer The Beatrice Letters before September 5th. WARNING: Listings contain spoilers. Don't look if you don't want to know! (I've removed the direct link. If you really want to see the listings, you'll have to search ebay yourself.) I'm seriously considering bidding. Then Snicketfires and I can spend Labor Day weekend discussing all the new info before anyone else.

Are you bidding? You could even arrange to pick it up to avoid shipping and get it faster.

It looks like I might be able to get TBL early! If this information is right, I could get it on the 31st August! I'm so excited. Ususally I have to wait over a week to get the new releases, but now I'm so happy that I can't help but end every sentence in an exclamation mark! Also, judging by that site, the Egmont edition doesn't come with a poster. Edit: I've thought about it, and I'm probably passing judgement a bit too quickly. They could be totally unreliable.

It does look a bit suspect. The proof will come very soon.

Are you bidding? You could even arrange to pick it up to avoid shipping and get it faster. I would bid, but my Paypal account got phished and then I forgot what I changed my password to. I tried guessing, but I tried too many times and now I have to write to them via snail mail to get it straightened out, apparently. It's not worth the trouble. I suppose I could open a new email account somewhere and start a new Paypal account. But as you well know, Gigi, I'm really busy right now anyway.

But as you well know, Gigi, I'm really busy right now anyway. I hear you. I bid on one. With a little luck, I could have it by Wednesday of next week. *crosses fingers*

Mild spoilers??? I thought that was a HUGE spoiler.... Now I feel depressed. I spoiled the series for myself. And I have to tell my friends, who will feel the same way after I tell them.

I didn't think the spoilers were that spoily, but I modified my post to a stronger warning.

I really, really hope the one spoiler - er, you know, what was spelled out - was false. But I don't see what reason the seller would have to lie.
How did these people manage to acquire copies so early, anyway?
