I know I always suggest these superfluous forums. But I've been to websites where they have an archive forum for the "Special" threads--long, influential, famous threads. We can have the triple A for just regular, average, nothing-special crap threads, and another one for the ones that provide great reading materials (basically any thread Kobolos posted on).

I rather like this idea, myself.
With v4, it's possible to make sub-boards, which are accessed from inside another board, and perhaps we could make a sub-board in the Archives for really special threads, so the good reading material doesn't drown in a torrent of stuff that should never see the light of day.

I do think, cautiously, that this is a good idea. The trouble is, though, what constitutes a "great" or "classic" thread? You can't judge it by page length, as it's quality and not quantity that matters (plus you'd then let in all the GGames threads). You could have a poll, but then there's the danger that you're inundated with polls for any old thread.

Nice idea. Too bad I don't know any "classic threads". Wait....what about that thread where we all got e-married and got strikified? That one was pretty entertaining.

Oh good memories. Striked on my first weekend here. That weekend was rather like a trip to Las Vegas. The cheap marriages and the spouses you don't here from again. I married 9 people or 6 if you count the 4 personalties of Derik as one. I liked my pink wedding dress, marrying the priest was fun too.

Good question, Dante. How are we to determine which threads are "classic"? Will that be at the discretion of moderators who archive stuff, or will Tragedy or Derik decide?

I think a group of people should be appointed to determine which threads are considered "classic".

I'd support this, if it became a movement.
