Any ideas? Who would make a good Jerome? How do you picture him? Also I was idly wondering, you think he actually loved Esme or just married her because he didn't want to argue with her? I thought he probably married her because she was beautiful, and he was sort of well, whipped by her hotness. Anyway, any ideas on casting Jerome?

Two people came into mind when I read the character of Jerome: Matthew Broderick and Eric Stoltz. I think those two guys would do a good job as Jerome.

I don't know about Colin or Eric. They look a little too, well, appealing to women. I'm not a woman, so I wouldn't know, but still...Jerome is a little more Matthew-ish, he would be great.

I never thought rugged but sexy, yeah. Just unaware of his own hottness. I don't think Esme would've married an ugly guy, but she did hook up with Olaf, I guess.

Esme only married Jerome for access to 667 Dark Ave. And she does think Olaf is sexy...
I dunno. I never pictured him as rugged or sexy.

Well, I think Jerome is rugged. He climbed mountains with Mrs. Baudelaire, right? And he slides down banisters. He seems sporty to me.. I like to hike, and up mountains too, but I don't look rugged. And, remember, Mt. Fraught, where he hiked, was right next to a VFD headquarters so if he was ever in VFD it wouldn't have taken all day.

I dunno. Maybe. He actually kind of strikes me as somewhere in between Matthew-ish and rugged.

Yeah, I'm not thinking the Brawny paper towel guy, just...in shape. You know? On the trim side, a guy you wouldn't mind seeing shirtless.

In shape, sure, shirtless, naw. Well, he wouldn't scare me shirtless, but Jerome is the type of person you wouldn't see shirtless in the first place. Very timid, and probably embarassed to go shirtless. Maybe.

hehe...I agree, I am saying just the kind of guy you wouldn't mind seeing shirtless if it came down to it, not the kind of guy who would actually be such.

I put my full support behind Alexis Denisof. His wife (Alyson Hanigan) could play Esme, if she dyed her hair.

He really wouldn't be bad.
