Hmm very good, yes very good. Write more. That is a very good idea for a story, is he going to go insane soon?

Awesome idea to center a story around! And well written, too. I can't wait to see what happens!

Love it! The description of his dream (y thing... I dunno what to call it) and the consequences (drooling crowds and the like). I think after a while I'd just start laughing crazily at the world being messed up, crappy as I would feel after everything. Chapter two and already stuff sucks for Rob. Can't wait to see what happens when everything REALLY gets screwed up!

it was a hallucination. he wasnt dealing too well with his rather bad luck. dreams dont affect the real world because... well, id be lying if i said i had the entire story worked out in my head.

Ooo! Spiffyness! ;D *Drool*
When's the next chapter going to be up? (You might as well just tell us after each posting when the next'll be up, because I'm just going to keep asking.)

swans- its hard to remember, but it really stemmed from my fascination with the idea of one person controlling the universe. a big influence is hitchhikers guide author douglas adams. a possibly even bigger influence is JTHM. i know its a comic book, but it still heavily influences my style. plus, the idea of a position of power being given to a not quite stable person is very present in JTHM.
laura- quite possibly later today. i wrote chapter 2 in under an hour.

That's a particularly nice description, I think. Wow. And that ending. That isn't the end of the whole thing, is it?

That's not the end is it? Don't we get to know what's going to happen to the world?

I read the three stories before I read the thread, and I was going to ask if it was hitchhikers, but I guess that's been answered. I noticed it took place in Islington, is that a shout-out? Are you English? Getting fired and his girlfriend dumping him is a good way to start a story. If he's going to have an adventure and/or metaphysical experience it's good to have loose ends tied up to begin with, so it doesn't bother him later on. This is really good, it seems like a sci-fi novel.
Edited to check wheter that The Big Cheese thing was a joke, so I wanted to test it in an un-busy thread.
