I'm working on this to submit to Elfwood and (if I'm courageous enough) Epilogue. It's nowhere near finished but I'd really really appreciate any comments and ESPECIALLY criticism (as long as it isn't "i hate u u sux" or something incoherent like that). Honestly, though, if you see it and you think anything at all about it, please tell me... and... I'll shower you with gifts? Ha. *is broke and can't afford gifts*. I'll shower you with thanks? The face is a little blurry (it's mostly just sketched out anyway) so excuse that. And it's taped to a board so it's not the best scan.

That's very good, neggie.
The only criticism I can think of is that the flowers could use some more lifelike colors.

Oh, loveliness... it's so pretty! ^^ Um um.. constructive criticism.. hm... well I love the shading on the thorns, I think the roses could have a little more definition, though... I'm not sure about this, but could the petals be a bit more rounded? I don't know.. whatever you think. The folds in the dress look a bit off.. but only if you assume that she's walking forwards and he dress isn't caught on a thorn. But I'm not sure how to fix it (if it's a problem, which it's not, really.. okay, shutting up about that now). I'm wondering if you're going to colour the fairy-type girl, or will she be staying grey? Either way, it looks good and will probably be even better when it's finished. Good work.

Ooooooh.
I *heart* that.
The thorns/roses (especially the open one at the top) are absolutely magnificent, in my opinion.
The wing type things are absolutely to die for and I like her hair. I also thought her left hand was exceptionally well done. And I also love the whole "she's glowing" effectish...yeah.
I think my only actual criticism would be her face, but you've only sketched it out and it's a "bad scan" ("No biscuit!" Nevermind.), so it doesn't matter, not to mention the fact that I have no artistic talent, and therefore can't really tell you what I think you should do with it. I can't wait to see the finished product. *makes a "Go Neggie!" banner*

WOW! Neggie that's really GOOD! I can't critisize that at all because I can't draw 1/4 as good as that. JEEZ I need some SERIOUS lessons from you, Neg.

Its really good!!! You are gonna finish the left wing though, right? And her hair, it is see-through, you can see the outline of her head, fix that. Not trying to be mean, you wanted critiscism! Plus I am not a professional at all yet.

;DWow! You guys _rock_! I won't get a lot done on this as it's exam week... but when I get back to work, I'll have some great starting points. Thanks so much, Allison, first of all. I'm trying to make it look like there's some wind blowing and she's moving forward, hence the hair and the dress to the side... but I never even noticed how weird some of those folds look. I'm thinking mostly the ones on her stomach, there... they're kind of out of place. Betty (haha... betty): I agree with what you and Soufflé said about the flowers... they need more definition and highlights. ;D Thanks for the comment! Strawberryfire, thanks so much! The hand was... umm... lucky? I'm crap at drawing hands. Spiffy, thanks for all the kind words! Hermione: don't worry, the face and hair and the wings aren't finished, yet. And you don't sound mean at all... I did ask for crit.

W00h00! Colton: I used pencil crayons, but the face it just sketched in right now with pencil, so I'll clear it up when I colour it. Sheepdogg: Thanks so much! Okay, I worked on it a bit more. I still have a bit to do (ie: COLOUR HER) before I submit it, but I've made some changes (most notably in the dress, I think... Soufflé, do those folds look more... wind...y?) and kept working. I didn't do much to the flowers, 'cause I did want to keep it sort of dark and gothic looking, but once it's finished I hope the flowers will stand out more. Comments are, as always, appreciated. Edit to add the picture, because I seem to have screwed it up the first time.

wow. thats amazing. i love the detail on the dress. i still think the flowers would look better if they were brighter. it would still have a dark and gothic look. remember, the key to a good gothg look is to at least have one bright color or object. dont ask where i heard that.

Uh... guys?? I think I killed it... It's definitely not going to be submitted to Epilogue unless I can save it. I coloured the face in and the supposed-skin-tint is rather orangey. So, the face is a weird orangey brown and very ugly. Once I'm confident enough in my salvaging skills I'll work on it more, but I may leave it for awhile. Thanks so much for the compliments guys! Colton: where'd ya hear that? Pandora: Thanks! Otter: eye-sheild worthy, eh? High praise, indeed!

I was just wondering...what she is supposed to be?
A fairie, a wood nymph? I am not an expert in these things.
