I have too much spare time. In any case, it's a boy who's a dog.
Ronald was a human, to start with. He was sure of that. To everyone else's horror, Ronald was turned into an animal one sunny morning. It begins now.
Ronald awoke with a start. He had had a horrible dream that he was a dog.
He sighed with relief and felt a gentle itch on his ear. Before he knew what he was doing, he had raised his hind leg to scratch it.
"AHH! I'm double jointed!" he shouted.
He saw a long brown and white wiggly thing from his behind. A tail!
"I'm a...a...DOG!!!!" he cried.
The world seemed to fall around him. This was probably because he was only 3 inches long, in size and height. Then he realised the things he could do. He would turn into...SUPER DOG! No, he was too small. Okay, he thought, Improvise. I'm small, strong, and good-looking...MINI SUPER DOG!! He remembered a secret room he used to put his mouse in, that was concealed behind a trap-door. He ran across the bed and pushed his way into the small-mouse-house, and sat on the floor. His mother didn't know his mouse was dead, so she still fed food into the room. A dog can't live on seeds and fruit for his whole life though, he thought.
"I need bones." he wondered out loud.
He remebered the hole his mouse had escaped through, and crept through it.
Luckily, he had lived in his house for more than 10 years, and knew his way through it blindfold. Shifting a piece of wallpaper out the way, he tore it into pieces. He crawled out the room, a big piece of cardboard in hand, or rather, paw. Remembering the teeny-tiny pencils he had on his desk, he jumped on to it. It wasn't hard, seeing as the desk was next to the bed. Holding one awkwardly between his fingers, he managed to write out in a just about legible scrawl:
I AM DOG FED BONE. RONALD PS AT TRAPDOOOR.
Unfortunately, the pencil slipped and slid between his paws, but he managed it in the end. He stuck it on the trapdoor, so his Mum would find it. He slipped back inside, and rested on the floor.
