In the final picture of each book, there is a clue that pertains to the next book. I have decided to compile a handy list for easy reference:
Note: “Visual Foreshadowing Device” is a term created by the writer of this document which means “a subtle clue in the final image of each book that relates to the plot of the following book.”
TBB: The snake coiled around the pole.
TRR: Shirt reading "Lachrymose Leeches."
TWW: Sign shaped like eyeglasses.
TMM: School bus (with two children boarding it).
TAA: Fish (herring, perhaps, or salmon) on bumper sticker.
TEE: Crow flying overhead.
TVV: Last Chance General Store ad in newspaper on the ground.
THH: Crystal ball and flyer reading "Madame Lu-" in the trunk.
TCC: Snow Scouts handbook falling down the mountain.
TSS: Mushrooms on the rock.
TGG: "Hotel D-" on the cap on the beach.
TPP: Distant birds in the sky
The End: The ocean
Visual Finality Device
Note: “Visual Finality Device” is a term not created by the writer of this document which means “a subtle clue in the final image of the final book that provides a final note on the series.”
