Welcome, everyone. Today is Thursday, June 21st, the second day of festivities at 667 Dark Avenue. First of all, I would like to thank Amanda for making today's banner, Robert for making some lovely arcade games especially for today, and Libby, Akbar, and Sixteen for manning the carnival booths and the House of Freaks.
Today is the day of the second forum-wide competition, the Snicket Visuals Contest. Anyone may participate by posting Snicket-related videos, drawings, collages, or any other type of visual art they have made. To enter, post your entry in the appropriate thread by the 24th of June.
In addition to the official contest, this is also the day of the carnival. Several volunteers are manning the carnival booths, but they are using temporary accounts to do so rather than their own accounts. This arrangement will allow the booths to run throughout the day without making the volunteers sit at their computers all day. And now, let me introduce you to the games we have planned:
Guess How Many! - hosted by me
For this game, a picture of a real jar of candies will be pictured. I have counted the candies beforehand and know how many there are. Members can PM me their guesses as to how many candies the jar holds. At the end of the day, the closest guesser will win a prize. Each member may make one guess.
Fortune-Telling Booth - hosted by Madame Libby
Members will have the chance to get their fortunes told by the all-knowing Madame Libby. Each member may have their fortune told once.
Dunk Tank - hosted by the carnie Max
In this game, members have the chance to dunk Hermedy by winning a flash game.
Spinner: A Game of Chance - hosted by the carnie Cindy
In this game, members will use a Proboards code that randomly chooses a number from one to six. Some numbers contain prizes, while others do not. Each member will get the chance to play three times.
Robert's Arcade Games - hosted by the carnie Japheth
These games rely on skill, rather than chance. They are unique in that they may be played an unlimited amount of times. In addition, those who score highly in PacMan, Snake, or Tetris may wish to take screencaps of their high scores. The highest scorers at the end of the day will recieve prizes.
Ye Olde Souvenir & Concession Shop - hosted by the carnie Sandra
Hungry? Thirsty? Looking for the perfect gift? This is the place to go. Each member will have the opportunity to purchase two items, compliments of 667 Dark Avenue.
Freak Show - hosted by the carnie Hugo
This is a free show featuring freaks, violence, and sloppy eating. All members are invited and encouraged to attend.
