Dismay settles in as HHP/LLOTR mod[/u]
Following Jacques’ resignation, Tragedy called a Penthouse meeting to discuss who should be made the new mod of his sections. Finally, a successor was chosen – the worthy and very dedicated member, Dismay, who’s been around for ages. Dismay has written many popular fanfics, receiving acclaim and fame on the site, and has also often contributed to The 667er. Congratulations, Dismay! Here’s to another great reign over at HHP and LLOTR.
Let it never be said that s/he’s not persistent…[/u]
Samreen’s mysterious stalker/hater is back. Successisrevenge was seen making numerous random posts, the sort s/he relishes, around the forum this weekend, prompting many to wonder – when will /she give up and realize that we love Samreen? Until then, s/he does not seem to be achieving much – except maybe in his/her own mind.
…and she’s talented too![/u]
667 recently witnessed the arrival of a fabulous new banner, in shades of green, with images of a startled Violet and a topsy-turvy Klaus, designed by our very own Queen, Fancy. While bitter hearts may moan about ‘nepotism’ and such things, at The 667er, we believe in giving credit where it is due, and trusting in our administration (for the most part). Job well done, Fancy.
Enter the Frenchie[/u]
A new member has been causing quite a stir recently, with his constant refernces to ‘mon pere’ and fractured English ostensibly logging on from good ol’ ‘Michican, US&A’. Heathcliff seems, according to Tragedy, to be “a weird guy”, yet such occurrences reek of gag accounts. Right now, though, tim reigns supreme in terms of the newbie with silly posts. Is a pitched battle likely? Our eyes are glued to the screen.

Tim here and some bads news to tell you is here like a braking news in your tv when you want to watch your favorite show like the bathroom word and the city if you are a grown up or rugrats if you are a baby but then there is a storm waning to interruption. Remember that I teld you about how I want to be a calligriphman when I grow up and making beautiful writings for all to see well now that is not my most happiest thing because my teacher give me a NI in my progress raport my mom is so complain that i am an artist and said I have to work harder but let me tell you I have enough of this calligriphy nonsense it is fun but to for girls that is what everyone says. instead I have a new happiet thing happen at school that is field trips! Everyone loves field trips because like brandan says school is for fools and no school is for cools and field trip is a secret kind of no school that the teachers thing is school but everyone knows it is just monkey business no one pay attention! We went to the waterfront to do some science study about geology and my teacher said a funny word that she said we are going spelunking can you believe it. I had so much fun learning about rocks and shells until it starts raining then time to go home. The only problem is that in the bus I think someone was having fun at my throwing spit ball in my hair and kick my seat but that is okay field trip is still my most happiest thing to be counted at. I hope that you go on a field trip soon or you dont know what you are pissing!

Libitina and Fantine's Tips on Life, the Internets, and Other Illusions
Libitina: Hello, 667, etc.
Fantine: etc.
Libitina: Pope Benedict is here in the U.S.!
Fantine: If you live outside the U.S., then Pope Benedict is over there in the U.S.!
Libitina: So come say hello!
Fantine: That is, if you have the means to get to New York by tomorrow.
Libitina: We have a tip today from Erik.
Fantine: Remember him? Erik? Who? etc.
Libitina: He tells us to make sure door frames are empty of young fingers when you are about to close a door.
Fantine: Great logic, really.
Libitina: Tip: If you are a boy who does not understand girls, use the novel Twilight by Stephenie Meyer as a handbook.
Fantine: Please and thank you.
Libitina: Next tip: Don't see the movie Jumper. Really, don't. The camera man must have been having a seizure through the whole movie and nobody noticed.
Fantine: I suppose the writers must have been having a seizure as well while they were writing the movie. The whole time.
Libitina: You should, however, see Little Miss Sunshine, if you have not seen it already.
Fantine: It is right up my alley. My alley, by the way, is in Manhattan where the thugs meet for breakfast. I had better not see you there.
Libitina: Next tip: Real Love, Regina Spektor version. It's hauntingly beautiful.
Fantine: Regina Spektor, I approve.
Libitina: Tip: Please fix my CD player. I'm actually trying to listen to Regina Spektor and it won't work.
Fantine: Wait a second, are you serious? You're really using your column to solicit mechanical assistance?
Libitina: No, it's just making me angry. Tip: Watch American Idol on Tuesday because they're going to sing Andrew Lloyd Webber!
Fantine: We love Andrew Lloyd Webber even more than Regina Spektor. Maybe Patti Lupone will be there!
Libitina: Our final tip this week: Participate in the free water event. It's a lot of fun, and it's for a good cause.
Fantine: And remember, no good deed goes unpunished.
Libitina: Have you ever considered going into advertising, Fantine?
Fantine: All the time.
Libitina: *sigh* Good day, 667.

I LOVE CULTURE. Does anyone else? Because I'm practically, even though I always have, am obsessed with accents.
One thing that brings culture to a place with no culture is foreign exchange. Elizabeth happens to be on one, no? Well, I bet she's having a great time. I wish to be a foreign exchange student in time, but I'm not sure where I'd like to go. Maybe Germany or Brazil. Or France. I'll go anywhere.
So right now, at our school, we have three exchange students-- one from Germany, one from Russia, and one from France. I've never really hung out with the girl from Russia, but I've talked to our German one, and the one from France? We hang out a LOT. His accent is soooo funny, but it's sexy. Oooo. Anyways. Listening to other people's pronunciations is interesting. If you listen enough, you can pick it up.
Like our German French class teacher. I can talk like her so much. But the bad thing is that she's teaching us a German-French dialect or something-- the class went last year to France and the natives thought they were from Germany. *shakes head* Ah well. Awesome Meter, scale of one to ten: 6.2.
Akbar's accent is sooooo great. I recommend calling him because he sounds completely awesome. He just called me and we talked about books and his house or whatever and rupees. Lovely. Awesome Meter: 7.9.
Now what about my French friend and his brother? Utterly great. If you have the means, pick up a Frenchie as soon as possible. Awesome Meter: 8.7.
And British accents! Especially Ryan Seacrestney ones! I love them! Dont you? They're just so lovely and exquisite! Sometimes I wish I had one... Awesome Meter: 9.1.
here's a cool video this lady did. Thought you might be interested:

My accent? Meh. Call me and make your own opinions. Awesome Meter: 7.7.
LOVE THE WOOOOOOORLD
Okay, now I'm going to hang out with my French exchange student friend guy. All riiiiiight *Quagmire voice/accent**shakes head*
Have a wonderful day and I hope to talk to you in PMs or on the forum or phone or whatever! MAN I'M HYPER. PENQUINS.

ASOQE #236: "Time After Time", this version by Eva Cassidy. Go look it up or something, it's really brilliant.
To do this one brought back a lot of bad memories, but I did this for you guys.
* * *
Violet clutched her trench coat and folded her arms in an effort to get warm, but the tears were welling up in her eyes.
Lying in my bed I hear the clock tick,
And think of you
Turning in circles confusion is nothing new
Klaus appeared at her elbow, and held the umbrella over her head, and she fell on him and began to cry.
Flashback to warm nights, almost left behind
Suitcase of memories, time after some time.
She hadn't slept the previous night, and she couldn't bear to look as Quigley's coffin was lowered into the ground.
Sometimes you picture me, I'm walking too far ahead
You're calling to me, I can't hear
What you have said
The rain stopped abruptly, and the sun appeared from behind a cloud.
And you say go slow, I fall behind
The second hand unwinds. . .
Violet looked up to see past the headstones, and saw Quigley's face.
Her eyes widened and her pupils contracted.
If you're lost you can look and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you I'll be waiting
Time after time
"Quigley?" she whispered.
Quigley smiled, his eyes shining bright, and blew a kiss to her.
Then his body flickered and he disappeared.
After your picture fades and
Darkness has turned to grey
Watching through windows
I’m wondering if you’re okay . . .
Violet squinted at where she had seen him, but he was gone.
The rain suddenly resumed.
And you say go slow, I fall behind
The drum beats out of time. . .
She smiled through her tears, and dropped a handful of dirt onto Quigley's coffin.

Hi all.
667 seems to be doing very well indeed; MM has a new obsession, weird newbies with odd sentences and strange pasts are popping up; no-one’s been deleted. Hip hip hooray!
Here’s a word of advice, though: always love.
Peace out,
Akbar.
